Yes, PD shown on both the I-485 and I-130 is the same as "Received Date".

The I-765 does not have a PD, but "Received Date" serves that function and thus is what really matters. You are correct.

PD date is same everywhere but received dates are different on I-485 and I-765.

Hi everyone.  We had our K1 AOS interview in Raleigh, NC on 11/22, the day before Thanksgiving.  Quick 10 minute interview.  Mostly ran down the questions in Section 3 of the I-485 form, like are you a member of the communist party, have you ever killed anyone, or been trained in the military?  Checked our marriage certificate and said you're approved.  Should get your conditional green card in the mail in 2 weeks.  Got a I-797 letter in the mail on 11/27 that was dated 11/22  that said our I-485 was approved.  USCIS Web site is still not updated - says interview scheduled.  Should get green card next week?  Hope this info helps.

Hi @jpink

Congratulations!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your experience! Both @Alexia TL and myself have interviews in the NC office this month. Glad to hear that it was easy and painless.

Just a question, did they put an I-551 stamp on your passport? I am still waiting on my EAD so I'm curious if they do it or if I will need to ask for that.

Congratulations again and thank you for the info! :jest:

Congrats to everyone who’s gotten their EAD! I’m super jealous.

Well, I got my written job offer today and sent it to my congressman’s office/caseworker today. She said the usual time to hear back is two weeks!

So I’ve decided I’m going to pass it out to any elected office that will take it. :P I tried to fax it to the number provided on the RFE I got for the expedite request, but no one answered it.. I called USCIS right away and of course had to be transferred to a tier 2 officer with a 58 min wait. But the CSR said the officer may be able to even provide me an email to send it to. Interestingly enough, he said that there wasn’t any indication of my request on my file... and here I was worried about it!

I’m also going to send requests to my two senators, and the governor too if he allows it. Bombard USCIS with a bazillion inquiries!

ETA: Nevermind, I just read on one of my senators’ sites that opening several cases with a several different senators/representatives may slow down the process. Glad I read it on this one as my other senator’s site said nothing about it. So I advise against it if anyone is considering it! I’m just going to leave it with my congressman’s office and send it to USCIS directly as well.

I know it is hard to wait specially when you are expecting to work as soon as possible. But take a moment and read the forums, visit other threads, see how many people even in April, May, June, July are still waiting for their EAD. Like somebody said, you can open as many tickets you want, but this forum is a valuable tool to gather peoples feedback and helps us came to the reality that sometimes we just need to wait.

I agree with you - and if I may add that the people here on Visa Journey is just a drop in the bucket compared to the real number of people who put in their applications that are not on this site.

Done with the AOS interview. We were approved right after. Got an I-551 stamp on my passport as well. :) Things are going super fast at the Indianapolis field office. 2.5 months to approval since NOA-1 is pretty fast. Good luck to all September filers. I am sure y'all are going to hear some real good news pretty soon :) I have also put in a brief review of the interview with some of the blunders I made that you could and should avoid.

Congratulations:)

Congrats to all of you who got your EAD!!!! That's great news!

I expedited mine, but honestly that doesn't seem to be helping all that much. I will keep you posted if I get it soon.

Also, very hopeful after @Alexia TL has received hers ;) We have the interview at 1pm, maybe we will run into each other? That'd be nice!

Good luck!

Good luck guys, I expedited mine over 32 days ago and it's stuck at expedite case completed.

I've seen people getting approved in 72 days or 77 days but maximum of them have got their EADs between 90-120 and right now most of them (including me) are near to 120th day and still no response. Raised 2 service requests (after 90 days), expedited the case (after 100 days), faxed offer letter the other day and this morning I spoke to T2 officer and told her my joining date is December 6th (as mentioned in the offer letter) and what can be the problem and am on 113th date today with no RFE and no RFIE. All she did was raised another SR for that "

As of November 29, 2017, your general inquiry, referral number WKDXXXXXXXXXMSC, is currently not assigned for processing.".

Again, it all depends upon the officer who's dealing with your case. Like I mentioned earlier in another discussion, there are always two types of people working in ANY office in the world; the energetic ones and the lazy ones.  All the files that are with the energetic officer is quick to process the files, calls FBI and other agencies and enquires about background checks and at the same time handles new cases (because remember everyday thousands file for I-765. I-131, I-485 and many other cases) so these guys are organised. Then comes the lazy ones who are opposite to what I said above.

People who came here on K-1, CR1 IR1 will know that it took months to process their files in their home country but atleast we were working and time went by...but now its a complete different scenario. You are stuck here with no work, nothing to do, eat, sleep watch tv......but there's one good thing though....you can spend all the time that you missed with your spouse before coming here and another good thing is you can come here anytime you want and help others with the information you have experienced in your immigration journey :)

Everybody gets their EADs..its just time and patience :)

I couldnt have said it any better.
