I think as an applicant. Unlike the I-129f which is filled out by the USC aka petitioner, the AOS/EAD/AP are done by the intending immigrant aka applicant...so i would think it follows that any SR related to that would have to be done by the applicant. USCIS does not anyway divulge any info unless they are talking to the applicant themselves anyway.

Have your receipt number ready and follow the process

How can I talk to the officer ? It's a long automated messages

Call 800-375-5283

->Select Language->

->Press 2 to select (petition you have already submitted to USCIS)

->Press 1 (check case status of petition with receipt number)

->Enter receipt number

->Press 1 to confirm receipt number

->It will read out the status of your application and after that listen to the options

->press 3 to talk to a customer service representative (Tier 1 officer)

Additional info: If you would like to speak to a Tier 2 officer then let them know and they will transfer the call to a T2 officer and that's the only way to speak to them over a phone.

Most of our receipt numbers start with MSCXXXXXXXXXX and while entering the receipt number while calling USCIS press 672 for MSC followed by your 10 digit receipt number

Yes. If the petitioner wants to speak to the customer service rep then the applicant needs to be present with you because the customer service rep will talk to you and ask for your full name(applicant) and ask you if you are okay for the petitioner to talk on your behalf and you just say yes.
