Situation :

1.Previous F1 Visa  To marriage 

2.have existing SSN due to work permit after school 

3. Have existing Drivers License 

4. California 

5. Did not use Atty to file papers 

6. Cheque payment 

7. Use FedEx with signature required

8. Filed AP, AED, 131, I-485

9. California fillers

 

*10/29/2017 : Mailed packet

*10/31/2017: packet received

*11/07:2017:NOA at 9pm via  text  “Case was received” 

*11/08/ 2017: money cashed out

* 11/09/2017: receipt available online

*11/13/2017: 3 receipt received 

*11/14/2017: 1 receipt arrived 

 

*waiting for biometrics appt.

When waiting for something like this the best thing to do is have the mindset that it will be completed within its deadline of 90 days. If it gets done earlier then cool! But don't allow your mind to create an expectation. The completion of these things is very different than a standard application for say a bank loan. These are real men and women looking in extreme detail at the applications of tens of thousands of men and women. Stay positive, but be conservative as to not lose your mind :)

1/19/18  --- Interview Date 2/21

2/21/18  ---  Approved on the Spot

  • 1 hour after the interview received uscis mobile app alert
  • Status changed from "Interview is scheduled" to "New Card Is Being Produced

2/26/18  --- Received hard copy of NOA for the Green Card

2/26/18  --- USCIS Mobile Status changed to "Card was mailed to me"

I don't know what your actual date is whether or not you fall in October or November as far as your notice date, but here is the link for October:

Our timelines are almost identical so far!

They received my packet on 10/30 but my PD is 10/31 on the NOAs. What's your's?

I've been writing mostly in the October and November threads as @PR&PR suggested but I pop in the close threads too just to spy on everyone :D

05/24/2017 Entered the US on a J1 visa

10/10/2017 We got married!

10/27/2017 AOS Package sent via USPS - Chicago Lockbox

10/30/2017 Package delivered 

10/31/2017 Priority Date

11/07/2017 Received email and text notifications about all 4 forms

11/14/2017 Received hard copies of all 4 NOAs

11/21/2017 Received biometrics appointment notice scheduled for 11/29

12/15/2017 Interview notice - interview is scheduled for January 19th! Holy #$%^ that's less than 3 months from PD!

01/02/2018 EAD + AP approved

01/16/2018 Combo card delivered

01/19/2018 Interview - recommended for approval

01/22/2018 New card is being produced :dance:

He said he expedite it on 45th day saying he's been unemployed over a year and I need it soon so I can work .. so I am guessing maybe that helped him

Who and how? USCIS seems to be currently dealing with early August.

No I have one friend who's pd is August 29 and she got her ead without any SR or expedite

Thats an exceptionn rather than the rule.  I learned from the K1 process not to get excited about fast processing.  It can be so random.  I have a friend who filed in June and only get their card last week.  This is a waiting game.  Sometimes we get lucky and thats great.  But best to be prepared and not get our hopes up too much.
