Hi Ilovecake,

When you call this number  1-800-375-5283 the voice operator will give you options to talk to a customer representative (be patient listening to instructions until you entered your case number then you will have option to speak to a customer representative). But they don't know anything about your case so request them to transfer you to TIER 2 officer

When did you get your receipt notice? Usually biometrics is 3 weeks after they accepted it.

Val

Thanks!

Received date - September 25th

Notice date - September 29th

However I only received my Noa last week - we have recently moved home and the mail direction is delaying our mail.

Also, that is the exact same number I called, when I enter my receipt number I am told (by the automated voice) that my receipt number is not found.

So it is impossible to get through to anyone with my receipt number not being recognised.

You were probably scheduled this week or next week :/

Have you checked your case status online? It's impossible that it's not found when you could check your case in USCIS case status.

ROC Process:

07.07.2020: I-751 Mailed

07.10.2020: NOA

08.04.2020: Biometrics (Re-used From 2017)

11.23.2021: Received 24 Months Extension

00.00.2022: Awaiting Interview/Approval

For some reason when I enter all my receipt numbers one by one in the USCIS case status I get -

Validation Error(s)
You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

  • My Case Status does not recognize the receipt number entered. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

I will just look around for contact details to speak or mail someone. Thank you

So it won't let you speak to someone, even though when your number doesnt work it tells you to call?? My numbers didn't work for a week either, but they started working a day after I received the NOA1 in the mail (last week), so I never had to call.  I'm not sure if USCIS has one large call centre or if each one has their own, but maybe you could try to use your old WAC # to get through to a person and go from there???

Some information in case there are more late September filers who are getting 'validation error' when they try checking their case on a case tracker.

I have run checks for batches of case numbers beginning MSC17919 using a case tracker app - these are cases from around 22nd spetember onwards - and LOTS of them have the validation error showing.  This must be a system problem at USCIS end.

It usually goes faster because if it's not going to the same place as everyone else's for processing. Less applicants to deal with means faster processing. (common sense)

Like my local office is Montana and they are further ahead then everyone in processing times. Unfortunately, I have to wait and hope to get an interview, otherwise it goes to California I believe. Which takes forever.

I thought most people were getting interviews, so less people in line when it comes to the no interview ...as you say less people to deal with means faster processing (common sense).
