Our RFIE documentation was received and signed for yesterday October 16. I'm really hoping to see an update on my online case status by the end of next week, as it still just says 'Fingerprint fee received' and no information about the RFIE at all.

Hi guys,

The USCIS website has updated:

On October 16, 2017, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status,

Our National Benefits Center office will begin working on your case again. We will mail you a decision or notify you if we need something from you.

We sent the RFE through USPS express on Thursday 10/12/17. I got the confirmation of delivery from USPS the following day (Friday 10/13/17).

This is the first time our case updates in USCIS website since they acknowledged the receipt of our case. It did not update when they sent the biometrics appointment or the RFE

Just sharing the information for those of you who are checking the site.

Hi folks,

I just decided to re-downoad the USCIS tracker app and check the status of my applications as it has been nearly a week since biometrics and I wondered whether that had been updated on my status yet.

Imagine my surprise when when the first case number I input said (for AOS - i485) that it had been updated today to 'ready to be scheduled for interview'.

Now from reading other threads for July and August I know this does not mean that I will be receiving an interview appt anytime soon (I am in Minnesota - almost the slowest GC processing state in the country - it could take a year!) but I am hoping this means that the paperwork was all okay and there will be no RFE!

I am also hopeful that EAD will only take another couple of months.  I see that many July filers are now getting their combo cards - so hopefully an early Christmas present!  Keeping fingers crossed!

Just wanna share with you guys my story in case someone has the same situation.

I didn't get any NOA mail nor Biometrics mail from USCIS. I started calling 25th of Sept to follow up and resend my mails but up to this day I have nothing.

Yesterday I called again worried that I'd miss my biometrics. To my surprise it was yesterday 10am and I was actually talking to an immigration officer tier 2 on the phone that exact time. I was so upset that i missed it.

I couldn't sleep last night so I decided to go to the nearest USCIS Application service center (York, PA) and came in at 9am (It was empty). Went to the security and explained my case, he then passed the printed email letter notification to an officer (the only proof I could show them of my case number) and then the officer printed my biometrics letter from her computer and passed it to me. They took my picture, signature and finger print right on the spot without a question. Took me around 15mins.

Just an advise, if you didn't get any mails from them. KEEP CALLING USCIS.

I can finally breathe now! Good luck to everyone!

Hello

How did you get to speak to a real person when you called USCIS??? I've been calling the customer service number but there is no option to speak with a real person.

I also believe I have missed my biometrics appointment, as I have still yet to receive anything since my noa from last month.

hi guys, question related USPS mailbox / non-delivery issues:

did your NOA letters come with your married name on it (for those using their married names on the forms)? i am registered in our mailbox but in my maiden name so now i'm worried that the mailman will not deliver my USCIS mails too. do you think i should update my file there to my married name?

in previous weeks (when i was still not listed in the mailbox), the mailman did not deliver some of my credit cards and kept it on hold. we didnt know they had it and thought they were lost. they did not contact my husband that they had been keeping some mail on hold. and then, in order to get the process of getting my driver's license started, i had to fill out a change of address form at USPS and lo and behold, the missing credit cards showed up in our mailbox a few days later.

Hi Ilovecake,

When you call this number  1-800-375-5283 the voice operator will give you options to talk to a customer representative (be patient listening to instructions until you entered your case number then you will have option to speak to a customer representative). But they don't know anything about your case so request them to transfer you to TIER 2 officer

When did you get your receipt notice? Usually biometrics is 3 weeks after they accepted it.
