Case Completed 8/28

We received an email yesterday 9/4 stating our case was placed in queue for an interview.

We called this morning and we don't have an interview scheduled yet.

Does anyone know how long does it take to schedule an interview for Ciudad Juarez, MX ?

Thank you

Whats your scan date?

I read ur timeline and I can see that u submitted ur i130 since Nov 2016 , my i130 took 10 months to get approved , my advice for u is that , to call uscis and request to transfer to the service centre handling ur application, tell them because ur application is far above the normal range of processing time, from my research what makes application for African and Asian take longer time is that , is because document from these continent  take time before uscis can get them confirm and uscis need to verify before they can approve . Never give up just keep calling and calling till u get answer , immigration lawyers are expensive and they have limitation . Good luck

I already inquired to be transferred to a different service center and was told no. Uscis has control over that and I believe they stuck me in Nebraska just because my husband is from Ghana so they can make me suffer. I see many other people who filed after me who have spouses in Ghana be approved but they were not stuck in Nebraska...

The system is so unfair and I feel like I'm treated like my husband isn't as important as everyone else's. My husband is my joy, my life and it hurts seeing how the system works against some of us...

I know its frustrating, but its not being unfair to you specifically, they don't know you personally, its just the way the system is.

Some of it is their fault because they've failed in making the improvements in process they've spent so much money on, some of it is generally processing that if they were more transparent it would make more sense on the delays, for instance, some delays are country specific, sometimes there's red flags they want to check on and maybe that doesn't require an RFE but, some people have extra long background checks.

At the end of the day its just an inefficient system, but unfortunately its a system we need because not everyone has the best intentions or are not an ideal person they'd like to let in the country.

Your case looks a little more complicated as well, involving a K3.

I understand your pains,I have been in this shoes before , my advice is keep calling atleast two time a day,and always demand to speak to Nebraska centre,u

will surely get a nice representative one day , they are all mean, but u will get someone nice one day, same thing happened to me,but I kept calling twice a day for 2 weeks till we get approved .

Yes maybe shake their cage a bit is good but again maybe they will put me on the bottom of the pile like I feel they have already. After this months update then I will get congressman and senators involved..

Yes this process is heart wrenching and very stressful. If they really approved cases in order received then I see fairness but they don't follow what they say that they do.

How do you know they don't?

I would say they probably do but some cases take longer, and it wouldn't make sense to hold up other cases until those are resolved.

I know and im sorry, but it for sure doesnt go in order. Especially the i-130. USCIS is very unorganized and that is why the NVC has a backlog that they supposedly cleared recently. If you did get approved in the near future for your i-130 you would still wait months at the NVC stage. Although if you get approved for say in January and NVC sticks to what they say that times are improving youll have a stress free process with NVC but as of right now both are ####### how they are. We cant blame the "administration" the administration can not stop legal proceedings for immigrants unless there i a major political problem within your country and the USA what country are you in?

As far as i know USCIS is the cause for NVC delays as well because they flooded the NvC with cases. Apperently they had a bunch of cases that didnt get forwarded or something. But lets all agree on the fact that any government agency doesnt work to quickly
