OMG! We're on week 7....I hope our CC comes fast, too!

I'm checking the NVC site multiple times a day hahahaha....has anyone had their status change in the middle of the day? Just wondering....;)

My second scan date was August 8th and today I got a case closed. I check my status in the morning at like 10 am and it had changed, I called NVC to make sure and they said my case was completed :)

did you do joint sponsor?

I'm so paranoid about getting a checklist, as much as I checked things.

Yes, we have a joint sponsor which is my dad, and technically my mom, too.

The error was with the form I-864A which they refer to as the "Contract Between Sponsor and Household Member," which is between my mom and dad. They said that it wasn't signed by hand, which I KNOW it was, because I saw it with my own eyes, and that it wasn't dated, which I also KNOW it was because I have a copy of the PDF of it and the date is right there in the PDF...so, I'm a little confused.

Then there is a part that says the sponsor was supposed to sign instead of the household member. THAT part I can see my parents possibly making a mistake on, so I'll have them resend it all ASAP.

It's also a bit confusing because one page says that the I-864A is missing, and then the following page states the errors that are in the I-864A....And there is a completely blank page so I'm not sure if some additional missing thing was listed there.

Anyway, I'm going to call them and clarify everything. *FINGERS CROSSED* that it processes quickly!!!

That stinks, a lot of times it sounds like they messed up on something but there's nothing you can really do but resend it.

Congrats!!!

I had something simillar happen to me, my first scan date was May 19th and my parents in law are the co-sponsors. They had the signatures error and my mother in law somehow sent 2012 tax info instead of 2016. They sent a checklist asking to correct those things, my second scan date was August 8th and this time they were much faster than the last. Good luck!

UPDATE:

Our case was reviewed!!

The bad news is...we got a checklist for the financial support documents. BOOOOO....:crying:

But I just wanted to add my info in, letting you all know that the first round took only 7 weeks. I hope it goes that fast for everyone!

Scan date: 8/3

Review finished: 9/27 (I was notified 9/28)

don't despair.. I got a checklist as well on our 864a.. it is a bummer but it only took 3 week (that included sending, receiving, reviewing, and closing our case).  Now, we are quickly approaching our interview in a couple of weeks.  I leave for india to accompany him in 6 days😀

Thanks! How long did it take from your first SD to receiving your checklist?

Yaaay, that's so exciting! Congratulations!

I really hope it only takes 3 weeks (or less, by a miracle!) because I want to have my baby in the U.S. WITH my husband there so bad!

Okay, so I just double checked the PDF that my parents filled out, and I believe that I erroneously received this checklist. Everything IS filled out as directed....and I am 100% sure that all of the signatures WERE filled out by hand, not by electronic signature as this checklist claims....If I call them to say that I received this in error will they listen?

Otherwise, my parents would just be sending the exact same thing all over again!

You can try to ask to speak to a supervisor. They will most likely tell you they will put it in supervisor review and it can take up to six weeks. Even then you have a chance of having to resend. Alot of people decide to resend but some get lucky and talk to a supervisor on the phone. It's really a delicate decision to make.
