No CC yet. SD is August 7. We called today after I posted my response. They asked again about DS-260 submission. This time they asked "did you submit it before or after you sent the package?" We did it before so they said "good" and that we should wait. They indicated that it can take up to 11 weeks. I feel that this is just a textbook response.

I feel it's processing now and hopefully we will hear something soon. The fact that they know the content of the package make us optimistic.

We called NVC today. We asked about the status and this time they said it's in the Documents Review Department. This confirms my feeling about the progress.

Anyone has a good feel on how long cases take in Documents Review Department? What's after that? Any other steps?

OMG OMG OMG

I'm watching 90 day fiance with my wife and my phone buzzes, I get an email and I don't think anything of it.

Its the NVC, I was really surprised to get a response so quick, its only been 5 days.

So I'm reading it and I'm like, o its going to be nothing.

And I read this.

The U.S. Consulate is willing to expedite this case when we have all the fees, forms, and documents. If you have not already done so, you can pay your fees and submit Form DS-260 at ceac.state.gov. Please send everything else to this address:

National Visa Center

31 Rochester Avenue, Suite 100

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2915

OMG OMG OMG

Now I really wish I had gotten everything together much sooner, I won't be mailing my documents until Wednesday hopefully.

You other guys didn't have to send your documents though so I'm wondering what will exactly be expedited here, if the NVC will review faster or send it right away or what.

Unfortunately, this seems like the same type of expedite that I got.

It means that the consulate will give you your interview faster (which is somewhat helpful) after you get your CC. The documents still have to go through the entire NVC process--the same waiting of 11 weeks. NVC doesn't expedite their part of the process.

Ah. That explains why i still need to send them my docs. That kinda stinks, however for Mexico it's a two month wait to get an interview so hopefully it'll speed that up. I'll try calling them the week after and see if they cam give me any details on the interview part.

Thanks for the info.

Hi everyone. Just joined this thread. Paid NVC fees on 6 September and still says In Process so can't yet progress. Doing the same as everyone else I'm assuming, calling the NVC each day, checking CEAC each day...and crossing my fingers and toes while trying to keep a smile on my face :)
