Hi @Leah09 NVC had made an error on our case, which was going to delay it significantly, like 6 months!! So i tried the expedite. Our interview is November 13

Wow, what was their mistake that was that big? (If you don't mind me asking.)

What do you all say when you call to check in at NVC? "Is our case in review yet?"....? I'm thinking of calling on Monday....

Our scan date is August 10....I am praying so hard that we are at least in review soon!

PD: November 22th

July 7th: Cases sent to DOS

July 14th: Cases and invoices number

July 21th: 120 AOS ( for the 2 cases)

July 27th: Pay both IV

August 1st: Completed both DS-260

August 8th: Scan date

August 30th: Requested an expedite

September 13th: Expedite approved

September 18th: Case sent to Dominican Republic

September 19th: Received an email from the embasy saying i need to schedule my interviews

September 21th: Scheduled interviews for November 1st.

All these expedite approvals from DR, makes me wish my wife was Dominican

So I didn't think I'd see any activity over the weekend but decided to just randomly check and EVERYTHING shows paid and the DS260 is now unlocked.

 

I'm not going to actually send my stuff till Wednesday cause I'm traveling but this is such a relief, should get a scan date the first week of Oct.

They put a hold on our case, for whatever reason. But i was never told they did it.

Do we need to send the passport photos with with the NVC docs?

I thought we only needed to bring with to the embassy, but I read this as I accessed the DS260

Once you have submitted the DS-260 forms for you and your accompanying family members, you must then submit your required civil documents, photographs and embassy-specific documents to the NVC.

That is nice. If it wasn't because I intentionally want to be in the US in December I would try to expedite too. But if I dont see a movement in the next few weeks I may try expediting. The last interviews I see people getting are for early to mid November so apparently they are filling up quick.

Leah how long have you been at NVC now? I could have scheduled the interview as soon as November 2, but that soon didn't work for me
