So after I saw a confusing message which  I received on CEAC and asked you guys about it, I was still a bit curious, so I called NVC only to get the good news that the case is complete. Thanks all and all the best to everyone on this journey. Someone here had indicated that normally when I see a message like that on CEAC, most times it means, case complete. So said, so done 😊😊😊. I'm happy, I give God thanks.

Scan date is 7/22

that notice is 7/5

This means that your petitioner most probably filled out the choice of agent form. Once that is filled then the case can be moved to the next step of actually paying the fee for Affidavit of Support and then the Immigrant Visa.

Just called, got the same info you did, really hoping for this week

I just got my case and invoice numbers. He said I have to wait up to 4 weeks to start paying fees, selecting an agent etc. I thought once you have the case and invoice numbers you can get the ball rolling?

The agent was wrong. You can try your case and invoice number before welcome letter, if it works, then you can choose the agent.

I agree with @Mary Lou. The agent told me the same thing but I was able to choose my agent the very next day with my case # and invoice #. I would say try next day. It should work. And also make sure to call NVC and have them review your agent after you choose an agent, otherwise it will delay the process a bit.

I didn't call NVC after i chose an agent, i didn't know we were suppose to. I picked myself as agent. But from there on everything appeared, pay IV and AOS fee, ect

You should read this.

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Call NVC to give them both your emails (if you want) and ask them to review the ds261 over the phone.

Not everyone rep may be willing to do it, that should help things move along a little quicker.

Will do so :)

Thanks

You don't need a checkbook, I don't have a checkbook and do this for direct deposit.

You get your banks routing number, this is specific to where you live, then you get your account number, you can find it on your statement.

Thats the same information they get off the check.
