You can decode the case number by following this link to figure out when the case number was assigned ypou will also need to look at the Julian calendar.

 

I fortunately  called them 2 days after my case number  based on the decoding was assigned and got the Invoice ID number and the case number and was able to fill out the DS261 the same day. Called them up after 2 hours of filling the DS261 (choice of agent) telling them i cant seem to pay the fees and they asked me by DOB and so that she could put me down as the agent. The next morning i got an email saying that i can pay my fees.

You can do that in the i-130 thread, thats the purpose of having threads for specific purposes, this NVC thread is recreated every month for that specific purpose

what does " pr income tax returns" ? they wanted something besides the transcripts? I thought the transcripts covered everything.

First scan date 1st may 2017 , I got a checklist of police report certificate so second scan date Aug 24th 2017 and cc on Aug 1st wow it's miracle

@arsalk the original one in the language of country you get married unextended. That one that have your completed name and tour wife the completed name of witness.

Thanks, yea. I have the marriage certificate in both English and the native language. So that wont be an issue. I am just wondering if i need more documents.

Case says READY but consulate says case is not in system, I jumped the gun and booked an interview but they say its invalid until I receive the letter so I might have to cancel it.

Appointment Letter: Flew to Juarez just to get this, its actually 2 letters you need.

Interview Day: Jan 2nd   Interview Result: APPROVED

Tracking Number Received: Via email notice and website the afternoon of Jan 4th    Visa Delivered: Friday Jan 5th Mexico City

USCIS Notice - Green Card mailed: 3/28/18

It's recommended for you to write you case number on every documents to avoid from such missing documents. I did write on all of my documents, and everything went well. Got CC without checklist!

I definitely would! They recieve so much mail on a daily basis if something gets misplaced you have a better chance of it making its way back to your file!

Thanks, that is the plan now. The NVC Guide also strongly suggests it.

Hi all,

 

I just called nvc to obtain my case/invoice numbers. I was told they just received my case on Friday 9/8 so it's not scanned in yet. The representative said it can take up to two weeks to be entered in the system. I know they give a general scripted timeframe. Should I call every other day at this point?

I don't think it'll be a few weeks.

Ours should be together so we're probably in the same boat.

 

Someone who got approved the same day at me had theirs mailed out August 28th, they got their case number on Sept 8th (Friday)

 

My best guess is we should be able to get it this week.

You'll get another update when its sent to Department of State, there's probably around another week till when it'll be available after that.
