Better check with the medical. The wait with the new testing is 2 weeks now. Some embassies won't even let you interview without medical.

Every embassy is different as far as explanation some you don't even need one. Many people just request the date moved whether it's later or earlier. Some give more reason to hopefully help. You are dealing with the busiest embassy ion earth so just keep that in mind.

The only issue we have is that I forgot to submit my 2016 1040 form.  I originally didn't submit it since I filled an extension.  I should get my 2016 1040 form tomorrow, and I've already contacted the embassy to confirm if they will take a scanned copy, rather than sending the actual 1040 form... we will see what happens.

Everyone goes into AP after interview. It is administrative processing. If they asked for nothing it will change in 1 to 2 days then to Issues.
