Hello everybody, I hope you are all having a good day!

I am new to this thread, I just got a case completed today and I'm wondering if I should wait a couple of days to call NVC and ask for the interview date. I read in the FAQ that NVC usually starts scheduling interviews the last couple of days of the month and the first week of the next month. Do you guys think I can get an interview scheduled since my CC was today? I'm from Colombia and my visa category is IR1, I appreciate if somebody can give me some information :)

Congrats to everyone with interviews! 😊😊

Ugh this is getting frustrating! I don't know what the deal is with Honduras not scheduling ... supposively the embassy will close from the 4th to the 10th for holidays. I figured they would be giving dates now for November already. Anyone else from honduras that is not on the spreadsheet and has gotten Thier interview??

I know the wait is very long. I called yesterday and was told there was no interview date yet. However, when I called this morning they said I had an appointment on 11/29 and it had been scheduled yesterday. So, maybe your interview date is being assigned as we speak.

Hang in there! it is coming soon and I will also be congratulating you sooner than you expect! Good luck!

I also called NVC today. We also have an interview date in Cd Juarez.

CC 8/28

Interview: 11/29

IR2 visa

Congratulations!

I wish our appointment was on the 29th. We are thinking he would have to leave on the 23rd, which I think is Thanksgiving day, to get his medical exam done. I am not sure if any clinic is open on the weekend. My husband's appointment is on a Monday morning.

The clinics are not open on the weekend. But if his appointment is on Monday Nov 25, you should be able to travel on the 23 and have his medical exam on the Friday 24. The results for adults are ready the same day at 3 pm. You could also have the fingerprint scan on the 24. It is very fast and won't take more than 30 minutes. Our case is different because my son is a minor and the results of his medical exam would take 3 days to be ready. I called the clinic today and the man said if he has his medical on Friday 24, they would be ready for his interview date. So we are also traveling to Cd. Juarez  on Thanksgiving Day.

I am looking for support. My husband's interview was today. The interview took a little over one hour. He answered every question correctly. In the end he was issued a 221g, asked to give all the documents he brought with him, he was given all the documents I submitted and they didn't take his passport. On the 221g nothing was checked they only highlighted the admin review section and told him they will email him what they need. At this time we are freaking out completely. In the interview they kept saying they didn't believe him. He was given the letter about social security but given the 221g. Help us. I need advice I'm about to have a breakdown.

This is standard procedure for Middle eastern (MENA) embassies It's mandatory Administrative Processing. Hopefully it will go fast. Just hang on awhile longer.

Hi all!

My husband just got out of his interview an hour ago. He was approved after about a 3 minute interview. He showed up 45 minutes early, waited around a bit, and then they called him up and asked him 3 questions:

1. Have you ever been arrested in the US?

2. When did you meet your wife?

3. How did you meet your wife?

They said it would take about a week to print his visa so now we are back to checking the CEAC status constantly! Crossing our fingers for a speedy printing! Best of luck to everyone out there. Stay strong and patient.  You are doing great so far and are closer to the finish line than you ever have been!

Love,

AmyLo

Congratulations!

Hi Everyone;

My husband had his interview today. No more than 5 minutes, 4 standard questions about me and officer said everything looks great. However!!!!!

They told him to fill out the form 5535 and email it, and gave him the 221g that stated: you application is suspended until receipt of the below document (5535)

I dont know why they start to give this form recently in casablanca embassy.

I was 1000000000000% sure that they will give him " APPROVED" but unfortunately we are in the waiting game again :(:(

Any help or guidance would be appreciated. Very depressed

Morocco has almost 100% Mandatory Administrative Processing for male Beneficiaries. Don't worry The 5535 is the new policy so they can check about the travel to those ban places and such. Just hang on.

I will not be traveling with my Husband to his appointment. He is going alone. We have 5 children so we thought it would be better if I stay with them. Our kids are sad he won't be with us on Thanksgiving day. Plus our daughter's birthday is the same date as his appointment. It would have been nice if we could all travel together. I am trying to focus that we finally have an appointment 😊

Today I got a bad news. My documents were submitted by the end of April of this year. However few documents were missing so my lawyer forwarded me the email sent by nvc to submit the missing documents. The documents were submitted in July.  Then I kept on waiting. I used to check my status daily which I still do obviously. N all it says AT NVC. I contacted my lawyer to give me the update about my case. He said he called nvc n they're saying my case has been processed on 14th august n on 16th august it's sent to the embassy for scheduling. I kept on waiting n even tracking my case online still it said AT NVC. Around 1 or 2 weeks ago my online case status showed ACTION REQUIRED. SUBMIT THE DOCUMENTS. I still kept waiting for my letter. But today I myself called NVC to know the update of my case n the lady told me my case is still with them n in process n still haven't sent to the embassy. The moment I heard this I felt like crying on fone. Oh n btw my husband got his citizenship on 4th September of this year n he even sent his certificate to the lawyer to get my case upgraded. Still I'm hearing all this. I was litteraly waiting for my letter daily. N just now when I again checked my case status it's saying AT NVC all over again. Seems I'm back to square one. I feel so terrible right now. Don't know how long will I have to wait on earth :(

It will say AT NVC until a interview is received. So you are still "in process" since you got a checklist which means you start at back of the line and that 8 to 11 weeks starts all over again  You need to be upset with your lawyer who messed it up and forgot documents that were asked for What does the lawyer have to say about that.
Also are you sure the Naturalization certificate was sent to NVC? Did you verify that with NVC?
