My CC is September 15th, got NVC letter today saying "..The applicant is now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment overseas,...".

I have seen that most of the interviews are being scheduled within 1 month for CR-1 after the NVC closes it but My visa category is F1 (FB1 i think, priority date is May 2004).

Is it different? If so, how long will they take to schedule the interview ?

My CO was a cute charming american lady and asked the following questions:

1.who filed petition for me?

2.where he lives?

3.what does he do for living?

4.In which year we were married?

5.Love or arrange marriage?  And who arranged the marriage?

6.Did we go for honeymoon and where it was?

7.Then she asked for our wedding pics and after seeing some pics she asked questions by pointing three of them.

And then she finally said the most expecting sentence "your visa is approved"

What did she mean by love or arranged marriage?

Thank you!! The asked me: who petitioned for you? How did you meet, tell me the story? Have you visited each other, how much time did you spend together on each visit? I should add that i included a lot of evidence, i always heard that the more evidence you include, the less questions you will get.

Its anyone's guess how long it will take to schedule the interview. I have seen others say that "it depends on the embassy where one will interview for the visa." There is a great 'case complete to interview spreadsheet' somewhere on this site which you can use to gauge how long it will be, based on how long it took others from your country.

From that sheet the average time to interview from CC is around 60 days.

The average time for NVC to schedule an interview seems to be anywhere from couple days to 3-4 months.

One last thing, with an PD of 2004 i must congratulate you on being so patient.
