Hi can any one please tell me what are the required documents of the petitioner from nvc ??

You must first specify which visa you applied for.

Petitioner Documents  If you are applying for an IR5 (Parent of a U.S. Citizen) visa, you are required to provide: 1. Copy of your Petitioner’s birth certificate 2. Copy of your Petitioner’s marriage certificate from the Petitioner’s current and all previous marriages  If you are applying for a F4 (Brother or Sister of a U.S. Citizen) visa, you are required to provide: 1. Copy of your Petitioner’s birth certificate

f you are applying for an IR1, CR1, or F2A visa as the spouse of a U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident and your petitioning spouse was previously married:  You must obtain evidence of the termination of EVERY prior marriage your petitioning spouse has had. This evidence must be an original or certified copy of one of the following documents:  FINAL legal divorce decree, death certificate, or annulment papers.

  • Send a photocopy of the petitioner’s marriage termination document(s) to NVC.
  • Bring the original petitioner’s termination document(s) plus a photocopy to your visa interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

For country-specific guidelines on how to obtain acceptable birth certificates and marriage termination documents, use the Document

Hello All,

My husband had his interview at the Islamabad embassy in Pakistan on August 28, 2017. He was put on Administrative Process for further investigation. 3 days later we received an email that they wanted the applicants sibling names along with DOB's, social network names, email addresses he has used for the past 15 years, his address, and work history. Did anyone else have to go through this and if so how long does it take to end this process.

Wow...so sorry to hear that and still wondering why they sent that mail  and registration went through if you didn't have the interview scheduled yet. Does your embassy have a number you can reach them on for clarifications? Just hang in there it'll be sorted before you know it.

They answer immigrant visa inquiries by email only, replying within 10 business days usually lol so yeah I guess I'll just have to wait and see...

thank you for the encouragement 🙂 It does help!

Have seen people go through AP Before , American embassy is  doubting the authenticity of u guys relationship, have u or ur husband been married before? , well I think they wana carry out investigation if this is real or not ,and tell ur husband to be prepared Becos they may come to his house of residence at anytime , preparing means

1- he most have u guys wedding pictures hang to the wall in his house

2- he most be smart and ready for them Becos they will come without notification

3 - ur husband neighbor most know that his married and his wife lives in USA  ,because they will go question his neighbors before they come to his own apartment or house

4- they ask of social media name and email Becos they wana know who is he and u know social media tells a lot about people , they wana know the kind of friends he has and maybe he have other wife apart from u .so tell ur husband to provide all to them and be careful

4 - just keep on praying

note :- this whole investigation process may take 2 months or more

thanks...
