Might want to consider you dont walk out with a visa after the interview. It can take a few days up to several weeks under normal circumstances.

I know :) We scheduled the location for the pickup and from what I've seen it takes about 3-4 days to receive it after the interview for El Salvador. We won't purchase anything until he has it in his hand.

I made the mistake of booking after we were approved pending the medical. They said we would get our visa within 10days, I foolishly thought 15 would be safe. Well complications happened and we made it by one day.....it was very stressfull. I would not recommend heh.

Well, the hope all along as been that he'll be here by my birthday (October 24th) So, the interview is the 19th and if we cross our fingers, eyes, and toes we're hoping he gets the visa by Monday the 23rd and we can buy the ticket that day for the 24th. That would be the best birthday present ever lol. I have faith it will happen like that (but I won't buy the ticket until we're sure haha).

Congratulations!!! I can't wait for that moment! 6 more weeks til my husband's interview and I don't care how much we have to pay for a next day flight because the day he gets his visa we're buying a one way ticket for the following day! I wish you all the best and a life full of happiness together! <3

Thank you @cleon86!  We also bought the earliest available ticket.  Waiting another 2-3 weeks for prices to drop was not an option.

Good luck to both of you.  Always be happy.

Hi :)

I wouldn't say NVC is slowing down, they've been known on VJ to release interview dates either in the middle of the month (15th, 16th) or the last couple/first couple of days...

so hopefully mid-Semptember we'll start seeing new dates come in :D

Good morning Mayra,

We are on the same boat with the same dates (IR2, Scan date: 6/26 and CC: 8/28).

At this stage, the waiting game is with the U.S. Consulate in Cd. Juarez and not NVC. I called NVC yesterday and the officer said there is no interview date for our case yet; they are waiting for the U.S. Consulate in Cd. Juarez to respond with any available dates.

Hopefully we will get an interview date in the next few weeks.

Hope this helps and best of luck.
