Hi guys,

I've received my ROC approval letter today, so I'm guessing some of you will start getting your approvals soon as well!  My case status has not changed since they received my case, so don't rely on the online status check too much. Also, I've moved to a different state with a pending I-751, but I don't think I suffered any delay because of it.

Congrats! Glad to know more and more of us getting it. I'm getting hopeful by the day. It will be a pleasant Christmas/New Year surprise.

May I know your first five WAC numbers?

That's my goal too and I did apply for the N400 considering the fact that Texas State has the longest processing time for N400.

btw, I didn't get any notice yet for transfer ... my number starts WAC17346 ... what's yours if you don't mind?

Mine is WAC17345, pretty close.

recived email from  USCIS after i requested case inquiry : the mail saying  ))

Recently, you contacted us about the status of your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, filed on 09/19/2017.  On 09/21/2018, you also filed a Form N-400, Application for Naturalization.  Our records indicate that your Form I-751 and Form N-400 are currently pending and will be adjudicated at the same time.

that s not fair specially im here in Dallas and n 400 can take more than 24 months , if i withdraw the n 400 do you guys think they will get my case faster speciall they already open my case and pass it because all case arround me are approved or requested more evidences  WAC17353.....

im thinking serious to withdraw the n 400 if any one have done that or read about somone have done that . im sure that will let the i 751 go fast

What a coincidence! I submitted my inquire on October 10th and got their response today, which is the same as what you posted here.

I cant speak for Dallas, but Houston takes about 17 mo. to process N-400. Assuming Dallas is somewhat similar, then you are almost 4 mo. into the process, why want to withdraw it? If you need to travel outside of the country, the stamp or extension letter can get you thru. In fact, I was in and out for 3 times this year thru 3 different airports, and the Custom officers treated me as if I got that shiny GC at hand.

I am in the same situation as you! I asked my lawyer to withdraw mi N-400 and she said NO!, because it may be a problem in my future applications.

But I understand you frustration. Why they don't let us know that apply for N-400 may delay our ROC!!   it's Not fair and it's not right, specially because anyone  can fail the  English o civil test!.

I am wondering what they will do is someone fail any test.

I guess there are nothing to do but wait.

This is a funny thing to do ... haha

I'm in same shoes as you and in fact in Dallas with 23 months processing times for N400.

Just like @DavidnThao said, if you have the i-551 stamp, it's as good as having GC ... I have also traveled out of the country 3 different times (2 to Africa and 1 to Europe) came back through different airports without any issues or delay at the POE.

The good thing is Texas issues 7/8 years drivers licence and nothing to worry about on that.

I got a state government job with expired green card and extension letter ... recently, I enrolled in TSA Pre-check with my expired GC and i-551 stamp ... so why would you want to withdraw your N400 when the timeline is dropping to 12 to 13 month processing time now for Texas :(

Well, it's up to you
