I'll wait  2 o 3 months to travel that's  the most  I can wait. I know it sounds  crazy but I dont want to have another  headache. it will be enough  going through  my Mom healthcare. I don't want to be thinking  about having  problems  with immigration.

I dont sleep  thinking  about  all this! I feel Im going  crazy.

I hope everything will work out for you. As a matter of fact, I traveled in and out the country twice with the extension letter and expired green card, and both time it was ok.

You also have to consider that your case might not be approved until February the latest based on processing times of 13.5-17 months (I'm looking at the longer scanario) if you withdraw. It is a lottery game at this point.. your ROC might get approved with n400, it might not. Do what you think its best for you and your family. I would honestly keep the n400 pending and travel with the extension letter. best of luck to you ❤️

Its not  to speed up, is to not  delay my I751 more! 😣. I have a lawyer  for my ROC but I submit  my N400 by myself and my lawyer  told  me the N400 may  delay my ROC 5 month more. Do you think  is true?

May or may not....unfortunately no one knows. If I was you I wouldn’t withdraw....

as I said, you can travel with your extension letter worries free.

Good luck whatever you decide to do.

So I need opinions.

I am a September 2017  filer. I just summited  my N400 a month ago.

Im thinking  to withdraw  my N400 cuz I feel this is  going  to delay my I751 (looks like this is what is happening). My mom is in my country  really sick  and I need to be with her. My husband dont want  to stop my withdrawal  idea  cuz he says  he dont want me to blame  him if my mom dies, but I know he dont want me to withdraw  the application, I mean are 7 hundred  dollars.

He is with me on this and we dont care if we have an interview, I just dont want to delay  this any more or have to wait another 13 months (that's the processing time for N400 on philly).

Do you guys  think that if I withdraw  the N400 at this point  my I751  will  be approved  on regular time ( 17 month on February)?

PS: Sorry for my spelling.  I hope you understand. 😊

N400 Withdrawal option should not even cross your mind at first because it has nothing to do with this case mentioned here.

All you need is i-551 extension stamp on your passport or your extension letter with your green card to travel and come back into the States.

Regardless of withdrawal or not, it would not expedite your i-751 approval ... It would still take same time to process.

(PEOPLE NEED TO STOP CONFUSING OTHERS THAT N400 DELAYS I751 :( that's not true and not officially written anywhere on uscis sites/documents)

Your lawyer isn't the uscis or the officer that would work on your case ... the best he/she is doing is also guessing.

I've traveled twice on expired GC and extension stamp without any issues and cleared like every other GC holder in Atlanta airport ... less than 7 mins.

Just follow your heart and do what's best for your family

Bramoma, you should listen to yourself and do what your lawyer tells you.  He's your counsel.

I've heard people say as soon as they applied for N-400, they entire case was delayed by upto 24m.  Others, applied for N-400 and shortly after, received their 10yGC.  Go figure.

Probabaly this question might be answered but i am skeptical about travelling to mexico. Just the extension letter and expired gc is enough to travel to mexico?

should not be a problem. went to mexico few times on expired GC without mexican visa. no issues.

My file is in Baltimore.  I would like to make an appointment for I-551 Stamp, but always no slot available.  May I go to other field office?

When you looking for appointment by your zip code it's should show you all available for you offices. For example I live in Denver, and two offices was available for me Denver CO and Helena, Montana. Helena is a little too far:)) but unfortunately nothing more could be available.

Thanks!

For my zip code, only Baltimore office is shown.  I don't mind to take a longer ride to other field office.
