Got a second "your case was moved to another office" yesterday as well. I really hope they finish things up already.

Yeah me too!

Is anyone tracking the August 2017 filers - are they getting approvals yet??

The 100 cases I watch were subject to this. On Friday about 15 cases had their status updated to "moved to another office". Today, 25 cases, including all of the 15 updated on Friday, had their status re-updated to "moved to another office" (with today's date).

So, plenty of those. IMO not very meaningful - just a bureaucratic procedure.

Just curious how/where you watch these cases? I've clicked around both USCIS and Visa Journey and can't find a place to track cases by number the way it sounds like you're doing. I'm a stats nerd so watching the action around EAC17350 would be satisfying ... or infuriating.

We received a response today from USCIS for our case inquiry. USCIS stated they are processing ROC cases approximately '14-17 months from the date we received your petition'. Furthermore, they stated we need to make an InfoPass appt for passport stamp to obtain further extension. This seems strange. Has anyone figured out any rhyme or reason why some received 18-month extension letters while others, like us, received nothing AND need to take a trip to get a passport extension stamp?? 🤔

So I need opinions.

I am a September 2017  filer. I just summited  my N400 a month ago.

Im thinking  to withdraw  my N400 cuz I feel this is  going  to delay my I751 (looks like this is what is happening). My mom is in my country  really sick  and I need to be with her. My husband dont want  to stop my withdrawal  idea  cuz he says  he dont want me to blame  him if my mom dies, but I know he dont want me to withdraw  the application, I mean are 7 hundred  dollars.

He is with me on this and we dont care if we have an interview, I just dont want to delay  this any more or have to wait another 13 months (that's the processing time for N400 on philly).

Do you guys  think that if I withdraw  the N400 at this point  my I751  will  be approved  on regular time ( 17 month on February)?

PS: Sorry for my spelling.  I hope you understand. 😊

Withdrawal won't help you at all to speed up i751 process. You can travel with an extension letter or i551 stamp.

If your goal is to get naturalized, don't withdraw. Regardless, I wouldn't withdraw the application. You will eventually get approved, even if it means to wait for naturalization interview with ROC pending You can travel on extension letter and if you need to, get a stamp as well. I don't see a problem with traveling this way. 🙂

What about staying  there  for 3 or 4 month?. I know I can tavel with my extension letter but it make me feel really nervous thinks  that they can call me on that time for an interview. I dont feel safe  traveling  with the extension, I know its sounds crazy  but with this new administration  I just dont feel safe.  😣

Its not  to speed up, is to not  delay my I751 more! 😣. I have a lawyer  for my ROC but I submit  my N400 by myself and my lawyer  told  me the N400 may  delay my ROC 5 month more. Do you think  is true?

Let's say you withdraw your application now... you need to travel now or you're going to wait for ROC approval that might take another 2, 3 months ? I feel you and share the same fear, fear of traveling with a piece of paper, but you have to be confident that this is going to work out. If you applied for n400, you might get naturalized as soon as in 10 months based on processing times for your field office.

So the thing here is, it might 'delay' in a sense that you won't ever get 10 year GC because your 2 cases might get combined and both interviews happen when you are called for the n400 interview. This may or may not be the case, depending on the officer that is holding your ROC case now. They might either approve it or send it to the processing center to attach it to N400.

I'll wait  2 o 3 months to travel that's  the most  I can wait. I know it sounds  crazy but I dont want to have another  headache. it will be enough  going through  my Mom healthcare. I don't want to be thinking  about having  problems  with immigration.

I dont sleep  thinking  about  all this! I feel Im going  crazy.
