Any other September 2017 filers not receive an 18 month extension letter? 🤔 Looking like we're going to need to get a stamp as there have been no updates for us online since April -- any New Yorkers have any insight on the Infopass appointment -- the website says there are no appointments at this time, and now i'm worried because the extension letter expires in mid-November...

If you still havent received the 18 month ext letter, call USCIS ad they will transfer you to TIer 2. These guys will have the letter sent to you. Infopass appointments are reset at 12:00AM each night. So if you try between 12:00 -2:00AM, you should find a spot.

I am November 2017 filers and mine online status is showing as File received in April 2018.

My one year letter is expiring in 3rd December.

Whats best approach for extension? Called them and they will send me one?

I have not heard lot about InfoPass appointment? What is purpose of that and is it easy to do that?

Any help would be appreciated.

The case transfer on your i-751 form doesn't indicate that it was transferred to another office which has jurisdiction over your case now. Do you have another case update? Sorry, it can get confusing. Did you get a letter stating it is at NBC now?

I recived update today

Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction

On October 9, 2018, we transferred your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number EAC17347xxxxx to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by November 8, 2018, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I got a letter said my case transferred to the NBC. My N400 is being actively reviewed by USCIS. So confusing now.

They will explain why they moved it but this is probably because they will combine your i-751 with N-400. 🙂 Keep us updated.

You haven't gotten the 18 months extensions letter I'm assuming?

Make a case inquiry online saying that you haven't received a form and explain what form (the 18 months extension letters) or call them up and ask about it. Meanwhile, try to get an infopass appointment (https://my.uscis.gov/appointment) which is essentially an appointment to go to your local field office to speak to someone at the window. Appointments are hard to get, so if you see that there are no appointment available, try later or next day early morning. At the infopass, you will be able to stamp your passport which works like a GC -- it gives proof of your legal status.

Hope that helps!

Congrats! I'm still waiting on it. Do you think because of you applied for N-400, the process of I-751 is faster? A lot of Sep 2017 filer are still waiting....

Question about the N400 application, ''Traveled outside the US in the last 5 years'' ?    I've only lived here for 3, so am I putting that I've been outside the US for 2 years?

''We count the day you depart from the United States and the day you return to the United States as days inside the United States. We only count days that you spent outside of the United States during the last 5 years, even if your trip was longer than 5 years ago.''

I have read contrasting stories throughout this forum and on other ones to so I cannot be sure. Possibly in my case that seems to have been a reason why it was expedited

I am a August 2017 filer (Vermont)....  My application was transferred to local office in April....  I do have the 18 month extension...

Questions.....

Any one have an idea of how much of a delay to expect from the local office (Charlotte, NC), 6 months seems long...

Is an interview always scheduled when the application is transferred to the local office... or has anyone received a green card without interview from local office.

Thanks

Same here with 3 years GC. I have documented on that question the last 5 years.

I’ve been a LPR for 3 years, prior to that i was living in the homeland and it wouldn't  make sense to put that I’ve been outside the US for 2 years.  Even the instructions don’t make sense. I think USCS is presuming that we’ve lived here for 5 years
