I just spoke to a tier 2 officer, who stated that; the transfer to local office update on my case, was a wrongful update. He believes its a system glitch, since in his system he observed that my case is still in Vermont. He also stated that my case could take a year and whenever my file is moved to a local office I will get related correspondence in the mail.

I’m pretty sure it’s a glitch. First they said feb 26 then they said March 5. 😔 how sad. Can’t wait for all of this to just be done. I hope the year they say it’s going to take us actually not even longer!

Alright y'all I got an update from my case today too. It says the same with y'alls. "My case was received by my local office" At least we're having progress.

On the other hand, a friend of mine has an expired 2-yr greencard and is even enrolled in a college somewhere in their place and her husband called USCIS yesterday and asked about applying for citizenship. Guess what, the agent said YES she can apply even if she didn't apply for ROC. And this made me think, why in the world are we doing all this waiting and what not and it turned out we can just wait for at least 3yrs and apply for citizenship, not unless the agent doesn't know what she's talking about. So, if that works for her, might as well share the news. ;) Anyway, I will keep you posted with her citizenship journey. But for now, all of us who went thru the proper channel will wait and see when they decide to update our status.

Cheers everyone!

Besides ids and drivers licesnces and credit cards, everything showing our home address and and mostly joint with the exeption of gas and cable and water bills, they only accept one name on the accounts, besides joint taxes for the 2 years plus updated 2017 taxes and and statements and bills at the interview for the previous 5 months since we filed, and tons of other mail addressed to our names. No rfe before the interview. And we were surprised when we got the interview letter, it was dated february 26th. Even though we saw the transfer to local office on 25th february, then changed to 27th february. Thats it

We had a an attorney who said we absolutely do not require that, we could have sent 50 if they asked us to.

The interview letter did not specify to bring anything, all it says is that we should show up, and that i should bring my wife. Our ids and passports and any updated proofs. We filed everything possible back in september. For the 2 years since we got the conditional card including the 2 year joint taxes, but when we went to the interview we took updated proof including this years taxes that we weren't even asked for at the interview but we submitted it anyway and the officer took some but not all of what we brought
