hey guys ,I am trying to check my status on https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/  the page is not opening at all.

I check my status everyday since biometrics without any issues , but today page does not open at all. Are you guys facing the same issue?

Talk about not taking advantage of technology, MYUSCIS can at least update the history notes with ie fingerprints submitted etc, pending review or pending approval but they don't show anything other than Your Case Was Received.  please folks get on with the program!

Yes, a lot of us have. You can see in the floating timeline through the thread that a lot of us have. If you haven't yet, check with your attorney or call USCIS.

My lawyer contacted USCIS and they said we just have to wait. I wonder whybI have to wait? So annoying.

Hey guys . I filled in September 18 2017 and got my biometric done in october 18 2017 and have been waiting since then .I know everyone says that we have to wait for like 1 year or so but doesn't it matter which State you live when you file your i-751 . ? My brother in law filed on May 2016 and he got approved on August 2016 . When I asked him he told me that I should get approved anytime now because it takes a lot faster if you live in Tennessee.  He also said that 1 year waiting period is for the bigger states that has way more applications going in . Is this any way true or did he just get lucky to have it approved in about 3 months ?

It isn't true. The states are split between the California service center (CSC) and the Vermont Service Center (VSC). They don't handle these files within your state.

 

If he's being honest, he got lucky.

Hello all!

 

I have a question, I received I-797 that says that my conditional status is extended for one year, that I can work and travel, when I tried to check myself on e-verify I couldn`t find my record and I already got few denial letters from different employers saying that I am not eligible to work. Does any of you know, do I have to apply with some form like I-9 because, I am guessing, employers are trying to check me and they can not find me or my green card and I-797 are enough?

I actually work for a company as an hr supervisor and they can accept that letter as proof.  I am actually doing training with someone from uscis on the12th just to double check as to why that would happen .

Is there anyone used their extension letter in Turkey?

 

I'm flying to Turkey next week, but I'm confused about my return flight back here. I'm not sure if the people who work at check-in desks in Istanbul are well aware of what this letter means. I just called Turkish Airlines to clarify, but it seems to me they don't even know what the extension letter is.

No you don't have to. Just the extension letter and the expired green card would work.

just came back from abroad with only a few days left, before my GC expires.  I was asked if I have a new card I said I have an extention  letter.  

They had a blank look on their faces. Honestly I wound't risk it.  They see and look at the card, the letter looks like a piece of paper that anyone could've printed. I felt very uncomfortable. Luckily, I had a Nexus pass, which helped.  

It's kind of ridiculous that it takes such a long time to process legal immigrants, who have paid their dues, done the security clearance and paying income tax. 

  It seems that I worry about following the law and doing the right thing to the best of my ability< when others don't even bother or care and have a free pass for all of it.
