Hello everyone,I am a US citizen who had filed forms I-130 & I-485 for both my parents who are currently here in the USA since March and who entered in a tourist visa as they have been doing it for past few years.

I had spoken with an officer from USCIS last year and was told that I was able to file an I-130 and I-485 for them while they were here in the USA. Only problem with that was that they would had to stay here during the length of the whole process (which now it has been almost 4 months) .

Here is my timeline:

1. Filed both applications (I-130 & I-485 + medical exams done by authorized USCIS doctor) back on 05/05/17

2. Got our NOA's (I-797C receipt) for I-130 on 05/09/17 for both of them.

3. Got our NOA's (I-797C receipt) for I-485 fingerprints fee on 05/12/17 for both of them.

4. All checked were cashed on 05/16/17

5. Got a fingerprints appointment dated for 06/08/17

6. Before I got that fingerprint date ,I actually got a RFE for my father's I-485 application. It was submitted and they received it by 06/13/17 .

Since June I have not seen any movement on my paperwork.

I mailed everything to

USCIS
PO Box 805887
Chicago, IL 60680-4120

On link bellow is clear when filing paperwork together (I-130 & I-485), address above is where to send them.

https://www.uscis.gov/i-485-addresses

Anyone who has a similar casa? I have also read I can not call to make any inquiries on these cases until they are BIT AT LEAST 6 months old. I checked them every single day and I know it is a waiting game but I figured it was worth asking.

Thank you!

Cathy

Then can travel with AP, GC takes a year or so.

thanks!

i am just reading into it. Question, does anyone know what is difference between I-797C (NOA-receipt) that starts with MSCXXXXX or EACXXXX??

And any idea who long does it take to get a I-131 approve? If I ma already 1/2 way through, we might get it approved by the time they get their GC (I am just thinking all options)

Thanks!

I have been checking processing times looking for "field office"...is that correct?

When I click looking for a Service Center I do not get Missouri and when I click on National Benefits Center (also known as MSC) I do not get any info for forms I-130 or I-485....

Honestly, I wouldn't rely on those dates---they are notorious for being inaccurate.

Ok. I will follow your advise and will just wait! Anyways, time does fly!

Thank you and feel free to share any additional info you think I should know. This site was extremely helpful when I applied for my K1 visa many years ago!!

Thanks so much!

may have to go back?

If on a B2, the i94 is usually 6 mos max.

Good afternoon:

I am always confused about this "fraud" warning and I am looking for further clarification.....

I am a US citizen. Both my parents arrive to NY on March 2017 because of a cancer diagnosis given to me on Feb 15th. After surgery and while recovery at home and after long talks, I applied for my mom and dad with petition I-130 & I-485 submitted on May 5,2017. Their cases were received, fingerprints were taken , one of them requested for additional evidence and after that we are still waiting.

We submitted I-131 on Sept as my parent's medical check ups were approaching and lots of things were not done because of need to come to NY to be with me and my family while going through treatment. Permit was approved on mid November and they traveled on Dec 9th and will come back on April 22.

We submitted I-765 on October and still waiting for approval.

They both have still a valid visa and when they entered the country on March they did it with that.

Is there something that I am missing?

Thank you !
