Hi Stoney,

Thank you for your tip, actually I already involved the local senator of Georgia, I have all the medical documents proving my son Medical condition and will be able to provide them to him if he will cooperate and accept to assist us.

I'll post new updates soon.

Thanks again.

I believe that if it werent for ur wife's past issues with her ex hushand/green card, the visa wouldve been issued. They are right get ur congress person to contact the embassy on ur behalf and  get a lawyer. Also try to get every documents u have on her green card/ex hushand issue and fix it. From reading ur story, the issue is from whatever happened while she was in the states to her leaving.

Hi HareID,

I hope your wife's visa problem has been resolved by now. Could you please give us an update. I have a similar case with the AP and was wondering how much wait you had to endure before the completion of the AP. I haven't seen any recent entry so I am assuming that your family was reunited after the long wait.

Thank you

Hi Hawk,

I am so sorry to ear that, unfortunately my wife case is still in AP, over 13 months now.

We tried everything, letters, emails, phone calls, visit to the consulate, congressman and attorneys, they all get the same results. We have to wait to the end of the process.

Nobody tells us anything, we don't know why or what they are checking, we don't know for how long we'll keep being in this nightmare.

And the worst, I was obligate to take the job opportunity in Atlanta 9 months ago, so In the meantime, my wife is alone with three little kids when one of them is a special needs kid.

This process to "reunite the family" is more destroying my family for now, it's a mental torture and a real fight everyday.

I don't want to discourage you, every case is different, you didn't put a lot of information about your case so it's hard to have an idea of your situation.

I've eared of AP processes that have been solved within a couple of weeks, and others took a few years.

All I whish is for you and your wife to get it solved as fast as possible, don't give up and keep faith. Forums say most of the AP are approved at the end.

Good luck my friend.

Thank you HareID for the update and I am sorry that you are still enduring this painful experience. My story is similar to yours in the sense that I have accepted a job in DC after working in Morocco for a couple of years, thinking that my wife will get her visa with no issues. We've been married for 3 years and we have a son, so it was nothing to doubt that something may go wrong. My wife had the interview and everything went well, there was one missing document which we provided the very next day. Now it's been almost 3 months (AP) that we are waiting with no end in sight. After reading multiple articles about AP, it looks like there is no magic solution except waiting and being patient. I've invested so much to get settled in US only to find myself alone and waiting to reunite with my family. I regret making this move before having my wife's visa at hand but it's too late now, I have to accept the new reality.

Be patient and be strong, the silver lining in all of this is that most cases in AP end with a favorable result. Please keep us updated if there is any progress. Best of luck to you and your family.
