I was told be the congress lady that to expedite ones 1765, one should apply for a job, secure an employment then she will use that employment notice to help expedite EAD. How do u secure employment without social security number?

Not true

They can only assist by placing inquiries on your behalf and they really can't instruct you to secure employment when you're not eligible to work... Just pure ridiculousness.

You probably spoke to a case worker... Try speaking with another. Otherwise nothing much o do except send ur own request to expedite which you should do in all cases.

To be frank though, I saw same comment from some folks on an EAD thread in a different forum on visajourney. There seems to be some truth in it

She is correct. A job offer is one of expedite criteria and is the one commonly used. It is hard to find a job without EAD but some people do.  Be patient if you do not meet any of the expedite criteria. EAD will come sooner or later if you have a pending I-485. Good luck!

Okay, after researching this topic, I just found 2 jobs that require u provide ur work authorization after you've been granted employment

I would apply for positions and once you get invited to an interview, mention that your EAD is pending but will be expedited once you have an official offer. If they are convinced you are the best and most qualified position for the position, almost any company will wait for the perfect candidate. Obviously the higher the position in the executive level, the higher the chances they will wait.

I have i360 special immigrant juvenile, I got approved court order in New York but looks like they have made a mistake on my moms name, thing is I have already filed i360 with that court order on August 2017, is it gonna be a problem from, will uscis request for evidence just for that?

I believe you were subjected to state juvenile court proceedings related to abuse, neglect or  abandonment and now you aplied for a green card based on Special Immigrant Juvenile status ( I-360). USCIS  will determine if you  meet the requirements for SIJ classification but you migh have a problem because your mom's name is completely different from her real name. You might get an RFE to explain about her name. Go to the Court  now to find out how to file a name correction , because it will take a while to correct her name, and if you receive an RFE you won't have time enough to  file  a name correction with the Court and to answer the RFE.

Oh it is true that employment offers help with expediting. What I meant is it's not true that it's the only way you may request to expedite. Mine was based on financial hardships and needing to work and ssn to obtain medical care benefits... I had no job secured at the time of my request.

Hello everybody and Sandraj im writing to thank you for all the help you provided me during my case, now that ive got approved after my interview i havent got my gc and its been 42 days after approval notice, do you have any idea or recommendations about what i should do?

i tried this already:

1. I made an infopass after the first 3 weeks to get a proof of residency stamp on my passport but i was declined and told to wait.

2. I called directly after 36 days (no info was given for my own security they said.)

What gets me worried is that ive seen most people get their gc within two weeks after approval and i dont want them to leave me behind before i use all my resources...

Or should i just wait doing nothing more till i comes no matter how long it takes?

what would you guys do?

You said you have received the I-485 approval notice. Has the online status changed form "Card Produced" to "Card Mailed"? Or what is the status now although the online status is not reliable?
