May 2016 retained an attorney and started to prepare my VAWA petition. 

11/08/2016 mailed my packet

11/28/2016 USCIS rejected my packet (expired forms) :(((  

11/29/2016 Mailed my packet again Via ExpressMail (I-360, I-485, I-864w, I-765, I-912, G-325A) with previous rejection notice on top & a request to expedite EAD

12/14/2016 Date on the NOA  

12/31/2016 Attorney emailed my Prima Facie (Notice date 12/19/2018)   (180 days)

01/14/2017 Mailed my husband’s birth certificate with the blue receipt that came with my Prima Facie

01/17/2018 I-360 online Update (correspondence received)

12/25/2016 Notice for Biometrics

01/12/2017 Biometrics completed

01/31/2017 EAD update (Ordered my new card)

As long as it was received by uscis and your status was updated to say they received it, I doubt if you have anything to worry about. Just continue to stay positive.

After reading your message for three times, I think I understand what you said:

1. You had a RFE with a deadline on 11/24/2017

2. You sent response to the RFE and delivered on 11/16/2017 by overnight express mail

3. On 12/1/2017, USCIS case status saying that they received your response on 12/1/2017

 

As long as you have the delivery proof dated 11/16/2017, I would not worry about it. When VSC received your mail, they may not open and process it immediately. When they (the system) updates your status, they (the system) may use the same date, not the date that your mail was delivered.

 

If you worry, you may call their number to figure out.

Her case is not outside normal processing time. You can request an expedited review of the case just if there  is a  decision resulting from certain administrative error.

Hello All,

 

Just heard from my lawyer that my AOS was approved. I have been a lawful permanent resident since 11/29/17. Now just waiting for my GC to arrive. It has been 1.5 years since I started the process. Thank goodness it is over!  Here is my timeline:

 

06/23/2016 - Mailed package with I-360 and I-485

06/27/2016 - Package received at VSC

07/12/2016 - Received Receipt Notices for I-360 and I-485

07/27/2016 - Received Prima Facie notice

07/29/2016 - Notice of Biometric Appointment

08/12/2016 - Biometric Appointment completed

05/09/2017 - Received I-360 Approval and Notice of Deferred Action

06/16/2017 - EAD Card Received

09/27/2017 - Received AOS interview notice - scheduled for 10/24/17

10/24/2017 - AOS interview completed

10/31/2017 - RFE received for updated medical report

11/14/2017 - Responded to RFE with updated medical report

11/29/2017 - I-485 approved

12/05/2017 - Received notification that AOS was approved.
