VAWA, Part 9

Hi everyone’s! 

 

Can anybody advice, i submitted my adjustment of status documents including application for employment. I have prima facie before this and I decide that I will submit documents to adjust my status. I did not receive my response yet. I submitted and it says the documents are delivered on October 22. But my status on the USCIS website did not change yet. What should I expect next? Thank you everyone for who can advice me.

Average time to receive the notice is 4 weeks.

Hello everyone. My mother is visiting from overseas. Is it ok if she uses my name as person she is visiting  and my address for her destination??

I don't see that is an issue for your I-360 petition.

Someone pls explain this to me : why has my form I 485 been transferred twice?

 

November 7 17

case was transferred and a new office now has jurisdiction 

• We received your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, and we are working on your case. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you.

VSC to NBC to local office? Although the NBC typically takes longer to look it over. 

It could also just be an error by the IO that updated the online status. 

 

The online status for my EAD said “in production” a few days before it said “approved”. Makes no sense but they don’t always update everything correctly. I wouldn’t worry.

My lawyer sent a renewal for my prima facie, but USCIS tagged it as response to RFE which is not, they updated my status and now saying Vermont will work on my case. I have a

cover letter to that saying that the packet if for request of extension of prima facie. 

 

 

I dont know what to do now

It probably won't hurt anything. I saw several cases recently that VSC renews prima facie automatically but not timely.

 Yeah, but my question is they tagged it as response to RFE. And made a decision. That is not my response

to rfe yet..

That is your attorney's problem. He/she should probably contact VSC to make corrections if you concern about it.

The form is simple but usually, you have to write GOOD affidavits to support your case. Good luck!
