Hello everyone,

I have been a silent reader for the past year and is holding on to the faith of God to get through each day. It is rough sometimes with this wait which makes me so depressed.

I have a quick question my EAD card is expiring in February of next year should I apply now for renewal?

Also what documents do I need to apply for renewal.

I applied I-360 and I-485 on December 6, 2016 still haven'

 gotten a response.

If they weren't notarized will you get an RFE for it? Is it worth sending notarized copies before they send an RFE? The volunteer attorneys who helped me did not tell me they needed to be notarized at any point in the process.  They were so sloppy!

None of my four affidavits were notarized, and I did not receive any RFEs and my VAWA was approved. I think they may request an RFE if there is something missing in the affidavit or something that needs further explanation. If you sent in affidavits which were not notarized, don't worry too much about it. Fingers crossed that yours will go through like mine and you won't need notarization.

That is right. VSC won't issue RFE merely because of not notarized. The notarized affidavits from others may increase the credibility.

Yes, you can file renewal application for your EAD 180 days before expiration with VSC. Here is a list of what you need:

1.     Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization

2.     G-1145, e-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance

3.     Copy of I-797C, I-485 receipt

4.     Copy of I-797, I-765 approval notice

5.     Copy of  EAD card, both front and back

6.     Bar code page attached to the current EAD card

7.     Two recent passport style photos

8. Copy of your passport (biometrics page only, based on the instruction, your current EAD copy should be enough as your ID)

---------

I filed the EAD renewal for a lady that I helped, who's EAD expires on March 2018. The status is Card in Production now. This is the cover letter that I used if you need:

I was previously granted employment authorization based on pending adjustment of status. While my Form I-485 is pending your approval, my current EAD would expire on 03/26/2018. As such, I am filling for the renewal of my EAD under the same basis and category - (C) 9.

Please find enclosed the following documentation in support of my request:

Please read the instruction for the application fee carefully that may apply to you. In brief, if you paid full fee for your I-485, the renewal fee for EAD will be waived automatically. otherwise, you may need to pay EAD application fee or file I-912 together.

I had gotten a fee waiver when first applied. So I will have to pay now for the renewal or file another fee waiver right?

Thanks everyone.

Hello everyone I just got a Notice of intent to revoke from VSC on 11/05/2017 and I recently filed for EAD/AP renewal on 10/20/2017. What happens to my EAD/AP renewal application...?

Correct, file I-912 with the renewal application if qualified. Otherwise you have to pay the application fee.

You meant NOIR to your VAWA I-360? If so, your EAD/AP renewal application won't be approved. You have 30 days to response to the NOIR.

Hello. Does anybody know a web site that explains step by step how form I 360 has to be filled in vawa case? I was searching on uscis site but I didn't find anything very detailed. I'm filing without a lawyer and I want to make sure I don't make any mistakes or omissions in filling this form. Thank you all so much

USCIS approved your I-360 and then denied it? Or is NOID for your I-485? Are they even allowed to officially approve a petition and then change their minds and deny it?
