From what I have learned from this forum, they will put your I-485 on hold until you get a decision on your VAWA.

Hi @Godblessme

when they put the I-485 on hold, will they transfer it to Vermont VAWA unit?

They will transfer your I-485 to NBC and NBC will transfer it to your local office after your VAWA approved. Please ask Ms. Sandra for confirmation.

When they put my i485 on hold, it was transferred to Vermont and when my vawa was approved, It was transferred to NBC. Now I think it's currently at my local office.

So most likely they will transfer it to Vermont until your vawa is approved

Hello Sandra, I applied for VAWA on may 2016 and get approval on December 2016. My AOS interview was 22 august 2017. The IO asked me when I will go back to school I told him. He ask me who I was dating before come here in US i told him. He didn't ask anything about my previous marriage with US citizen wife. He then ask all yes and no questions on i 485. He told me to go home he need a second look for my application if he need more evidence he will send a notice. They didn't update anything on my case online. What should I expect in the situation like this. Thank you

I m in a similar situation my AOS interview was on 08/28/2017 and at the end IO  gave me  a letter saying my case is being held for review. Then on August 31 my online case status said:" my name has been updated".  Did IO gave you the same letter at the end of your interview ? And or any updates on your online case status?

They are adjudicating cases filed in Oct and September, 2016. Because she was married to a LPR, she needs to wait for the decision made on her VAWA. If it is approved, her vawa receipt date would be her priority date for filing for AOS.

He didn't give me any latter, and since that day my online status is still the same no any update. My attorney told me it should  be fine. Where did you   do your interview.
