Hi all, I want to share some information with you. I went to DMV, trying to renew my ID, all my id's expired, and took my EAD and I-767 that I filed for new EAD and about 180 days of extension. It did not work, I hoped They rejected all that my EAD and receipt, I went to supervisor and she told me that they don't work with such docs, I have to have a Letter of Extension or something like this. My EAD expires soon and I'm so scared the story will repeat at my place of job.

Your Receipt Notice should have a paragraph about it being a 180 day extension on it. The DMV in my state has a document online where it says it accepts the receipt notice plus old EAD. I would call the DMV, find such document on their website and go again.

REGARDING: PRIMA FACIE

My prima facie have expired on March 5 but I didn’t receive any renewal maybe because I did something wrong in the letter I sent????

Because it said in the real prima facie letter that to renew prima facie “a copy of this letter should accompany your request” but what I did was photo copy the original and sent the photo copy to them. Am  I in trouble?? Should I have sent the original prima facie letter??? Because even now I still don’t have the new prima facie.

Hello Veronika691, i don't the state in which you are or may be the people you met are not doing their job. I renew my ID with the 180 days extension, my edc had expired and all i have was just that letter, the person i met was so nice, he took it to the supervisor and the supervisor check my case status online and ask him to renew it. May be you should go to another dmv. Even at my job the letter was accepted.

Hi guys. I am on my second prima facie notice. I want to apply for Medicaid. Will that make me a public charge? I am in NY. Thanks for your answers.

No Medicaid isn't considered public charge, I also applied for it last year.

Since, you're here in NY you may also apply for SNAP. just don't request cash assistance.
