If your husband is a green card holder you can just file the I-360,  you  can submit the i-485 just when a visa number becomes available for you. USCIS will adjudicate your I-360 like they do  with all other  I-360 cases, they will not put your case aside. It's taking around 11/13 months to have the VAWA petition adjudicated.

There is no problem if your visa expired and it doesn't  take longer to ajudicate the case because the person is illegal here.

Thanks a lot Sandra, you are a God saint!!

Hi Sandra

Hope you’re doing fine

ive a question. I’m living in a room for rent in someone’s house and before I moved in it was with a contract. This month they suddenly decided that they won’t be signing any receipt and asked me to pay them under the table in cash. Will that cause a problem with my AOS

Thank you for your time

Hello Friends, please I would like to ask something very serious to me, and I hope u guys understand the question.

If you file i130 before VaWa and ur i130 was denied, on ur VaWa case, do they go back to ur 1st case u ever filed with the USCIS even though it is now a different case and it is not with same spouse. Thank you guys for your response and God bless.

I dint think it would affect your AOS, but I wouldn’t agree to that if I were you. You will have no proof that you are paying rent. And God forbid if they should lie that you have not been paying your rent, it would be your word against theirs in court.

Seems USCIS isn’t updating the my case status page. I just received my letter for adjustment interview for this month. Anyone knows what to expect during interview kindly reach out to me.

Yes, they are not updating online.

Mine was approved in September, I already had my interview in January and the system keeps the same messages from my approval date! No updates at all!!!

Don't worry!

About the interview, they will ask you questions about I-485, like have you ever...

You will be fine!

God will be with you!!!!🙏🏽

Pay them with a personal check. They gives you proof you've been paying your rent.

They could ask for 2 passport style photos or fees/fee waiver.

Even if your card expired 2/22, the receipt notice along with the expired card works as a 180 day extension. You can still work.
