I had nothing joint with my spouse except one piece of mail and our marriage certificate (same address) other than that I relied on affidavits

May 2016 retained an attorney and started to prepare my VAWA petition. 

11/08/2016 mailed my packet

11/28/2016 USCIS rejected my packet (expired forms) :(((  

11/29/2016 Mailed my packet again Via ExpressMail (I-360, I-485, I-864w, I-765, I-912, G-325A) with previous rejection notice on top & a request to expedite EAD

12/14/2016 Date on the NOA  

12/31/2016 Attorney emailed my Prima Facie (Notice date 12/19/2018)   (180 days)

01/14/2017 Mailed my husband’s birth certificate with the blue receipt that came with my Prima Facie

01/17/2018 I-360 online Update (correspondence received)

12/25/2016 Notice for Biometrics

01/12/2017 Biometrics completed

01/31/2017 EAD update (Ordered my new card)

02/04/2017 My first EAD delivered.

02/06/2017 Picked my EAD & applied for SSN

Thank you for your answer.

I only received this RFE. That is my first one.

They approved my EAD before I answer the RFE. They sent me the RFE January 31, approved my EAD February 22 and I haven't answer my RFE yet.

Hello @ gramercy please like how many affidavits from friends do i need  and do they need to notarize it.

The most important affidavit is yours.

 

Yes, it is recommended to notarize them and each witness should include their name, id numbers and contact info (no one will be contacted but for credibility or verification if needed)

 

I personally had 4 @witness affidavits one was not notarized but I used it.

You cannot rquest to have the interview in a different office, just if you moved out of the State or  when the person doesn;t ave an attorney and move to a different County then they will setp up the interview considering where the  person is living,otherwise they will consider your attorney address. The timeline for the AOS  starts when the NBC receives the file.

 

To me this makes total sense and you have a lot of experience in this. 

However I was at Infopass today and the IO told me that my physical address is considered, not my attorney’s address. Is there a chance that he is just not very knowledgeable in this?
