My congrats! If I'm right, you were approved in March 17 and got an interview in February 18. May I ask you, did you get any RFE that time? My case was approved in February 17, but in September I got RFE, sent docs back in October and since that - waiting. Maybe because of this RFE, that pushed my case back,  it's still pending, while timeline says that in December they worked with vava cases approved in February?

Congrats again!  Relax after hard 2 years fighting.

@Veronika691 if you have a reciept for the EAD renewal it clearly states at the bottom like 3 spaces down your card auto renews for 180 days ...i am from nyc and mine expired Feb 22 but I use my new reciept to give to my job to say i have an extra 6 months...so check again ...chevk your new reciept

Thank you, Sandra, today I finally got a receipt, that states that I have an automatic extension of my EAD for 180 days, while my case in pending. Thank you, for everything you do for us.

@Veronika691 yes my vawa was approved in March last year. After that I submitted the AOS in May 2017. I didn’t have any RFE during the waiting period. I hope you will hear from them soon. You should also make an infopass to check on your case status.

Hi, Sandra, can I ask you another question. All my ID's expired, driver permit, driver license, state ID and my AP too, but I need them to travel at least in US. Is it possible to go to motovehicle, bring them my vava approved letter, receipt for ead extension and ask them to make me any ID for at least 3 months? Did you hear something about that? Thank you in advance

Hello everyone. I had my Vawa approved in mid Oct, 2017 and got interview notice for adjustment of status in January 2018. My interview was on 02/27/2018. It went well. The officer only asked me the security questions(yes/no questions) and told me to wait for couple of weeks for the decision. 

If anyone wants to read, I have posted my timeline in October 2018 here.

If you have the 180 day extension letter they are supposed to renew your drivers license for that period of time. Same goes for if you have a job they are supposed to keep you on for the 180 days until you get the new card

You can renew your DL with the Ead extension or if you prefer you caapply for State ID.

 I received a RFE (now I'm not sure if it is a RFE or not, but on the website says "Request of Additional Evidence was mailed" and I got those letters couple days after so I imagine that this is a RFE) about one month ago and I DID NOT ANSWER THE RFE YET and today I got the EAD on my mail.

 

Another important information, the USCIS website DID NOT CHANGE, my i-765 form and i-131 form didn't update. It still saying "case was received". 

 

Now I'm preparing my documents to answer the RFE (or whatever). I'm sending the police clearance + personal affidavit + family and friends affidavits. 

 

Here is my timeline so far:

 

OCTOBER 18/2017: Filled i-360, i-485, i-765, i-131

OCTOBER 23/2017: Received notice from USCIS

NOVEMBER 03/2017: Notice of Action 

DECEMBER 1ST/2017: Biometrics done. (Walk in) I went there 1 week before of my schedule date.

JANUARY 31/2018: Request of Additional Evidence was mailed. (DID NOT ANSWER YET)

FEBRUARY 26/2018: Received EAD + AP on mail. Status didn't change on the website.

 

 

 

 

Sometimes USCIS issues this kind of RFE. Explain very well about the courtship,at least 3 pages, when he introdiced you to his friend and family and vice versa, if he talked to your family , explain, what did you use to do when dating, trip,  movies, dinner out, mentioneing names of the places you went with him, if you spent  hollidays with him or with him and his family, how many times you visited his family explain, when did he tell that he was in love and you describe the proposal, if he have you a ring, who attended the wedding, if your family did not attend the wedding explain why not? if you had any celebration?.  If your family approvrd your relationship with him? . If you don' t have one or more of these documents explain why not, joint lease agreement, joint bank account, tax returned filed jointly, car  and health insurance  showing both names , credit card? etc..

having a baby during marriage is enough for good faith marriage rfe ?

I already sent all documents that I had with my spouse but I didn’t send my personal affidavit. I’m working on it and I will send a very detailed like you said.

 

What is the deadline for those RFE without deadline on the paper? 

Also what do you think about this RFE? Do you have an idea why it is different, is it a bad signal?
