You should write down  all details that you can remmeber about  the courtship (at least 2/3  pages) then about the wedding, marriage and abuse.

That’s a very long wait...I wonder why it’s taking so long now a days...

@sandranj Hi Sandra, do you have cases that’s waiting for this long?

Thank you for your time

All my cases filed in November 2016 were approved and I had several cases filed in December and January 2017 approved as well.

Hi everybody. I wish all of you get approve on your i-360, but unfortunately when you'll get it, it will not be the end of the story. Then you will have to wait another year or more to get interview.

My case was approved in February 17, after requests of my lawyer and info pass we found out that my i-485 is in my local office. It was in October 17. We send a new medical records, as they asked and since that - silence.

So now it's 1 year after they approved my vava, and i'm still waiting. Went to  Info pass. sent letters, my lawyer called them, the answer is: wait till we schedule interview. Not earlier than in April we'll make a decision". When it really will happen - who knows? i applied for new EAD and AP, but now it will take 5-6 months, so I can lose my job, all my id's expired and I cant  renew them, because don't have even receipts for EAD and AP.

But in uscis they don't care about such "little" things, don't think about people.

Anyway getting approved i-360 - it's a big success, but only half of the way.

ASK to expedite your EAD and mention that you will be fired if you don't have a valid EAD.

It seems that not only I-360 takes longer but also I-485 interview. It took my friend 11 months to have I-485 interview (not based on VAWA).

I really hope USCIS could speed up the processing time, otherwise 2017 and 2018 petitions will wait 3 or 4 years to get green card. We are all aware that you can't get married during this waiting time, better not have children because you have to explain to the USCIS. How many years can we really wait? Not to mention, the uncertainty about work permits, jobs and travels.

Don't want to complain, but hate to see USCIS gets slower and slower.

Having  a child when waiting VAWA decision is not a problem, the Law just states about remarry when the VAWA petition is pending,of course USCIS will look the case twice to make sure the person had a bonafide marriage, but the denial cannot be because the person got pregnant when the VAWA petition was pending.

Hello folks, I need some help:

Should All RFE come with colorful paper? Like yellow/blue?? Because I got my RFE mail and it is only regular white paper and I always read about yellow or blue paper.

Also, it does not say how many days I have to answer the RFE. In this case, how long should I answer the RFE?

Here is what I got, it is not even asking me to send with the original document, only the copy.

Thanks

This letter is not a RFE.  Did you send a letter to request Prima Facia?  They are stating that you did not provide enough documentation to issue you a prima facie and are allowing you to submit that missing information now.

That’s awkward because on USCIS website on my form i-360 is saying that they sent Request of Adittional Evidence and I got this letter days after the update.
