My attorney said it takes approximately 4 months when I was sending the petition. If I would only knew..

No I did not. I thought the local office has nothing to do with the cases processed in Vermont. My attorney said he followed up in the beginning of December but I still have not heard from him.

You contact your congressman to inquire on your behalf?

Did they say your case is stuck at background check phase? If yes, that means the FBI background check is being ran right now, which is out of USCIS control and depends on how fast the FBI is working on it. It is normal procedure but just seems to take longer sometimes. Unfortunately all that USCIS can do is wait.

Is the background security check for I-360 or for I-485?

Hi guys,

Its been a while since I last posted. Just want to give you guys an update. Finally, after a long wait, I am having my I485 interview this Tuesday. I will tell you guys how it goes. Good luck to all who are still waiting. Be patient. God will give us an answer.

Congrats!! How many months did you wait after VAWA approval and what’s your loval office?
