Thank you for responding. Just not hearing nothing has me anxious. I only got a receipt that fees were waived and nothing else at all. I thought by now I would have heard something.

It is taking about 14-15 months right now. Many November and all December filers in this forum are still waiting.

I submited the 2016 marriage because the 2014 wasnt valid since my previous marriage in my country wasnt finalized n yes uscis asked why i had a military id n its bc i was married without knowing my marriage in my country wasnt finalized  tgats why uscis said he abused me before legal marriage  but he nvr stopped abusing me really i just didnt get police involved after 2014

So what I am reading is that you married in 2014 in your home country, and the marriage license/certificate was not legally filed, so USCIS deemed the marriage as invalid.  You remarried in 2016, and the marriage license/certificate was properly filed.  USCIS has determined that since you submitted evidence prior to your legal marriage in 2016, you are not eligible for VAWA as it is considered domestic violence with your boyfriend/fiance versus your husband.

It seems to me that you ma not be eligible for VAWA but maybe eligible for a U visa.  However, I am not USCIS and cannot make that decision.

hi, I'm interesting, when you make info pass interview, where are you going? In Vermont?

Infopass is with your local uscis office. Usually the location where you will most likely have your interview.

Do they have posibilities to find out about my case? Because as I know correctly, it is in Vermont Service and will be transfer on my local USCIs office after the approval? May be I am wrong

Infopass is just enquiring about the case as if you want to file query with ombudsman they say that if you have taken all possible ways of enquiry and no answer so i made in my local uscis office ... As i had uscis app .. today there was notification for both cases of i485 and i360 but ehen i opened there was nothing new...

Did you log in to case file online and click on the individual case? If not try it and scroll down to the case history and see if anything updated there. That’s usually where my update is.

If your case has been pending for over a year and you want to try infopass. Go to uscis website type in infopass appointment. Click on make appointment in US, type in your zip code, it will show you what office is for you. But the best time to do that is after midnight is when they usually have available dates up.

Cases are taking over a year, I would not worry to much if you are at 12/13 months.

There are tons of November /December 2016 petitions still pending. (and some Octobers I heard)

I've been waiting over 15 months now, and this was with help from my congressmen.

Mine is almost 15 months. I am afraid VAWA will take 16months, 18months, 2 years or even longer to get adjudicated in the future. I have seen VAWA waiting time goes from half a year to 10 months, 13 months and now over 15 months in a year. If USCIS keeps this pace, more and more cases will be pending. I can’t help complaining because our life is on hold while waiting.

Thank you, Sandranj, and if  you dont mind, please, answer me another questions: in which cases they dont give interview, could they deny GC on interview and why and how much time after the interview they send GC? Thank you in advance

There is no criteria  why they  schedule  interview or not.

If they approve on the spot  you wil receive the Gc within 10 days,if they  need to review then they may take 30/60 days to issue the Gc and I saw a few cases they took 6months after  the interview.
