Folks when you will submit form I-485 you don't need to submit form G325A anymore. USCIS will just accept the edition date of 06/26/2017.

My bad .The correct information is that USCIS stopped accepting the  older edition of the I-485 application dated 01/17/17 and the new edition dated 06/26/17 on August 25, 2017, NOW  just the  new edition of the form will be accepted ok.

How was she able to cancel her affidavit of support, and did she file for divorce while he was living with her?

She sent a letter to USCIS last May, but nothing happened so she made an infopass appointment and told the I.O about it, he told her the NBC did not forward her letter, but it is good she came to them before the green card interview, he told her to go and protect her Self and child .. yes she filed for divorce while he was living in her house, and He stayed for 3 Days and she thinks that his lawyer told him not to go back , because he left all his stuff at home and sent someone to call her next day and say that he is not coming back because his life is in danger and he is scared and filed for VAWA and he will never give her divorce.. Thier divorce court was last week, but he didn't show up, and his lawyer said he can'T Reach him ,because his phone is broken abd he is out of town, so they postpond it and rescheduled it one month later..

So basically it takes them 1 month to go through 1 week worth of petitions.

If it continues in this speed, then it would look like this for the future:

8/31/17: 8/29/2016

9/31/17: 9/5/2016

10/31/17: 9/12/2016

etc.

Hoping it will get faster again soon :(

With this speed, the processing time for 2018 will be much longer than 344 days. If USCIS doesn't speed up, 2017 filers may have to wait up to 2 years.:(:(

All we can do right now is pray and be positive. Things could be worst,  but God is in control. Let's turn our worries into worship.

You were very fortunate! I filed January 2017 as well, no decision yet.

I think what happened was they transferred the priority date on my I-130 to the vawa application and that pushed me to the front of the line and had my vawa adjudicated in 4.5 months. I had a 2015 priority date on my I-130.

I want to give an advice for those filing Vawa based just based in mental abuse you must find a PSYCHOLOGIST to perform the psychological evaluation. I receive often letters from counselors and psychiatrists. Counselor cannot diagnose and cannot perform evaluation, the psychiatrist can perform tests but their evaluation is short and basically they don't mention any circumstance of the abuse, then immigration usually does not give weight to this kind of evaluation. Before starting therapy ask the psychologist if he/she has experience involving evaluation to submit to immigration or to the Court, if he doesn't have experience in this area then find another professional.

Please DO NOT SHOW YOU AFFIDAVIT to the psychologist ever. I saw at least 5 cases here in the VJ the psychologists copied 100% the affidavit and just put in the evaluation, and of course this kind the evaluation immigration will not take into consideration. I saw two cases denied that USCIS stated the evaluations were basically a copy of the aliens affidavits and not their psychological perception as a professional, when they asked my help was too late.

The psychologist must mention circumstances where you suffered control, humiliation, degradation, isolation, threats etc...

I said before counselors cannot perform a psychological  evaluation. I would say 90% of the time they are not qualified  or have the experience working as a mental health  counselors or with victims of domedtic violence, but if you find a psychologist with specialization in domestic violence and mental health then the professional will be be able to perform a psychological evaluation.

For people who have an I-130, you can transfer that priority date to your vawa application. Cuts short your waiting time in most cases ...

I don't think this is the case. I was told by the attorney that you can only transfer your I-130 priority date to I-360 when your VAWA is approved. This only applies to the situation when your spouse is a LPR. For example, your priority date for I-130 (approved) is March, 2016 and your VAWA is approved on September, 2017. Instead of using September, 2017 as  your priority date, you can use your I-130 date to wait for the available visa which leads to the shortened waiting time.

For most of you, your spouse is a citizen, so you can get work permit before your Vawa is adjudicated. You don't have a priority date because the visa is always current. But for spouses of LPR, they can't get work permit until vawa is approved.

@Hopeful diva, you are very lucky. Perhaps the officer who worked on your case is very efficient.
