Oh, your notice day got a little longer.

I will wait until 4 months. If nothing happens I will schedule an infopass.

Question: infopass should be schedule on the closer office from me?

Did you receive biometrics appointment?

Doesn’t matter where you schedule it but for your convenience the closest field office is probably the best way to go.

I did. I got my biometrics done in December 1st. Since that I didn’t receive any update. I’m so nervous and anxious about it.

What about you?

Still waiting on biometrics, I have infopass tomorrow so hopefully they are able to tell me something good to ease my mind.

I need some advice guys!

So when my abuse happened my abuser had already file an I-130, I-485 and I-785 which was approved and EAD mailed to me. My case status at the moment I file for vawa (and still is has not change) was that they had received correspondence for the RFE they had sent. At this point I filed the VAWA. My package was only the I-360 form. So, I don't know what happen with this case where my husband is petitioning for me. Is it still pending? He had threaten to withdraw the application but I have no idea if he did. How does it work in this case? Does the I-485 just gets put on "hold" until I-360 is approved and then transferred? Or do I have to file a new I-485 once I-360 is approved? I haven't received any schedule for interview for that case or any correspondence either. I've been wanting to do an InfoPass but I'm scared. With the whole new immigration issue happening right now I don't know. I've been so anxious because of this. I can't stop thinking about it and getting scared of something bad happening. This has been such a difficult experience I just pray everyday that everything workouts in the best way. What do you guys think? Thank you in advance.

You don’t have to do anything until you get scheduled for your I-485 interview. Then you tell them you filed VAWA and for them to hold the I-485 in abeyance. That way they put it on hold until your VAWA is approved. You don’t need to file a new one.

You can always schedule an InfoPass appointment. It will not negatively influence your case. Don’t be scared to ask USCIS if you have questions. That’s what they’re there for.

Thank you for your reply!! The case where my ex husband petition me was file in November 2016 so by now I definitely should have received an interview notice but yet its like the case is freeze. Maybe he did withdraw it. How can I know?

If you have the case number, you can try to enter it online on the “my case status” page from USCIS or you can ask at an Infopass appointment and they will look it up for you. If it was withdrawn, then you can file a new one.
