Any idea how long I-485 is taking to get an interview? I checked the processing time based on the Vermont center and I calculated 4 months from the time of recipient. Can anyone confirm this pls? Thank you

Depends on your field office processing times. Vermont Service Center does not adjudicate I-485 but your closest field office does. I believe your I-360 approval date is used as the date to calculate from.

To renew the EAD the form must be submitted  to VSC.

I filled for vawa (i-360) and i-485 and work authorization together in about 8 months now since I filled .

I haven't received my work authorization yet so I inquire about them and first they said .

1. Your request to have your work authorization resent to you was assign to an office .

2. We sent a response to your request to have you work authorization card resent to you .

3. Your request to have your work authorization card resent to you was completed .

Please my question is does it mean they will mail me my card or if it was completed what does it mean cos it does not say

card production yet and if I check on the case with the receipt number it still say fee was waived for my work authorization card but under that it shows the following said above .

Please could you help me  understand .

Thank You .

under “Field Office Processing Times”, choose Chicago

Looks like it’s taking 9-10 months currenrly

The date is from the application was accepted. It’s concurrent filing which means most of us after approval are outside the normal processing time and should be scheduled faster rather than waiting longer. Seek help if you’re outside normal processing time.

You cannot submit an online service request about your case.  It will be rejected and they will mail you a letter stating that since you filed VAWA, you must submit requests in writing to VSC.

They will provide you with a cover letter with a barcode.  Write another letter and attach the barcode letter to it with your NOA1, and they will respond.  It takes longer for them to respond in writing.

Also, did you file for a C9 for your EAD or C31?

Hello All,

i got approval on I-360 on 12/20/2017

today there is an update on my I-485 , It says ' case transferred to another office'

@sandranj  can you please advise what does it mean?

thank you

It means that your I-485 is transferred to the National Benefits Center for review. This process takes typically 30-60 days. Then the NBC will send it to your field office.

This is the normal procedure. Congratulations!

Thank you very much for taking the time to explain them to me .As it is now I will have to wait for the response in the mail and follow the instructions .

So I filled for i-360 after an abused relationship I went through .During when I filled the I-360 , I added my work authorization as well since I thought my old EAD is connected to my wife and she will redraw her affidavit .The EAD that I receive through my wife is about to expire and I need renew it.But since is connected to her affidavit, I decided to apply for one with my i-360 .and that's what I'm waiting for the response in the mail .
