Happy holidays everyone! Congratulations who got approved! It is not an easy journey.....

So my vawa timeline is:

12/05/2016 they received my case

12/23/2016 rfe

02/23/2017 respond rfe was received

And my attorney gave me a paper in 08/2017 that extension of prima facie got approved and it's expiring on 03/28/2018 and i need to apply again if they don't make a decision before that date. As he explained it means that I have a strong case.

Just wondering if anyone filed in 12/2016 got approvals? Or how much approximately left to wait?

Is it your second or third prima facie that would expire on the 3/28/2018.

Good night everyone

Has most of you know my I 13p was denied in September after the IO told me she would hold my case. In November I refiled my I131 I765 and I192 it's now Dec 28 and all I got on November 20 was the receipts noting more .my previous biometrics was done on Dec 14 2016 does that mean they used that one why I didn't get to go do any more? Awaiting your reply thanks @Hopeful diva @gramercy @sandranj @milly0086

Since you said an extension your attorney maybe had 1 or 2 before double check and see

Got EAD in hand last night. Headed out to the social security office and applied for one. It’s a new day. Thank God and thank y’all

Hey bold, congratulations again. So not sure where I read this (someone correct me if I’m wrong). I read that they’ll be issuing the social security numbers automatically after the VAWA is approved. There is no longer the need to apply for one🤔

Yes sunkissed, it is applicable to the  EAD application recently updated in August/September I think

, there is a portion in the form that says "do you want the USCIS to send your information to social security office"? If you tick yes and answer the other questions, when your EAD is approved, they send your information to social security office and you automatically receive ss within 2weeks.

I filled mine in November and I choose that option, but mind you it is not so with the previous version.

Hope this helps.

Are we talking about filed in 2016 or 2017?

2017 of course!

Last year SSN was issued separately after obtaining the EAD.

This year i filled my i-765 again last October 2017 it had the option to request a SSN in the new form which is convenient & saves time.
