So do I need to go get my biometrics and then send out the package?..do I need to get a police clearance report? If I'm married to a US citizen will the process be faster..he filed for me back in 2011

I have a question...if you get prima facie, would you be able to work with it or you have to wait until vawa is approved then get EAD? Thank you guys.

Prima facie is for government benefits and FAFSA from what I know. if you have a pending I-485 you can apply 1-765 for work permit under c9 and you get an EAD Card then work.

Hi everyone

I need your help. I have applied for AP before with which I traveled with. I’m now applying for a new AP and filling up form I-131. On the form they ask if I’ve ever been issued a reenrtry permit or refugee travel documents. Should I answer yes or no?

Then they ask Disposition (attached, lost, etc). What does this mean?

thank you!

My previous EAD expired on August. I didn’t renew it because I thought if you are divorced you don’t qualify, So I filled with VAWA. I have been out of job for so long that I don’t have any money even for Christmas.😭 my previous I 485 is still pending. I don’t know how I can get EAD as soon as possible.

As long as you have a pending I-485, you can file I-765 (EAD). You can receive a fee waiver if you qualify (which you most likely will since you don’t have a job). File ASAP and it should take about 90 days for your EAD to be approved.

Previous AP just used for traveling while you have a pending I-485 is neither a refugee document nor a re-entry permit. Refugee documents are only given to refugees and a re-entry permit is for someone that already has a GC and is spending up to two years outside of the US and doesn’t want to lose GC.

It is not in hearing distance because when you enter with AP you are “paroled” back into the country and will be led into an interrogation room.

I never had any problem reentering the country. Only question was. Where did you go, how long did you stay?

@iwillsurvive is right. If you have a pending I-485, file I-765 and send your application to VSC. File I-912 with it for fee waiver if you are not able to pay the fees. I filed I-765 to VSC with pending I-485. I received my EAD card after approximately  60 days.
