I know 5 people  who travelled  with AP and reentered  without any problem. One of the  girls told me  that  one immigration  officer (JFK)  said to her "we need more  people like you here", he made the complement  I guess because  she is working and she doesn't  have a foreign  accent. Ten  days  after she reentered from her trip  she got the GC without interview.

One guy from India  reentered after his trip(JFK) without any problem and the  immigration  officer  said "you suffered  abuse, how come man?". He didn't answer because  he believed  the officer was joking.  The officer  didn't  ask about the abuse but  for sure he knew the guy was a VAWA petitioner.

.

That's terrible! Can they do that? I mean can they talk about abuse like that - usually it's within hearing distance of a line of people waiting. Also, that's a terrible thing to joke about. What a horrible officer. Poor guy to have to go through that!

It is not in hearing distance because when you enter with AP you are “paroled” back into the country and will be led into an interrogation room.

Ooh! I didn't know that. Wow - that can be stressful. It's still crappy that the poor guy had to listen to that nonsense joke.

I have done secondary inspection a few times (not with AP) but the same area that AP is reviewed. Quite often especially during busy periods, there are other persons that are awaiting secondary inspection and they will be able to hear the questions being asked.

The officer might have been insensitive, but possibly just surprised... not everyone is able to grasp that some men report abuse as well but we don't know if he was loud or someone heard or even if the VAWA petitioner himself was irritated by it, what matters now is that they re-entered safely.

The CBP officer directed him to an interview area known as “secondary inspection.”, all people that I mentioned before were directed to secondary inspection.

Good morning my friends,

Any EAD recently approved?

What’s the received date?

Mine was recently approved filed in mid-September. It was approved on the 90th day, I got the approval letter in the mail and the USPS app shows that the card should be delivered tomorrow.

Thanks man, just to think I was asking Poupis earlier of his timeline and within hours I got mine lol. Thanks just a second for joy and good news to locate someone

Definitely, I know the feeling mine expired the 6th and the new one was issued the 12th. Hopefully, I will not need to apply for another renewal next December. You should probably get it in the mail a lil after Christmas (Nice Christmas gift) :)

That would be all the xmas  and new year present I want. How long does it last for, I mean when does it expire?

Its valid for 1 year, so you will be good until Dec 2018. Your Drivers License will also expire on the same date next year, however, once your VAWA is approved and you have gotten the green card then you will get a permanent DL.
