No, incorrect (see my previous post explaining the status).

A few cases may be approved around 4 months on the initial review but most cases are approved 10-12 months and a few cases takes much longer.

Thanks for the clarification!

Hi juju

can you apply for AP even if you don’t have any recent plans of traveling? I want to apply for AP just in case I have to travel just to be prepared in advance.

Thank you

If you have a pending i485 you can apply for AP at anytime until your i485 is adjudicated.

You can apply and indicate that you have an intent to travel and select multiple as the amount. I had a combo card for 1 year and never used it.

thank you for replying.

What do I fill in the intended date of travel in my case where I don’t have any intent at this moment?

Use a projected date at least 4 months in advance given that they are not processing as expeditiously as before probably because of the automatic extension. Overall though I don't think the date matters because its an "intended" date which may or may not change and if the card comes before the date then that's great. Just to clarify though, I never used mine for the year I had it but based on the experiences of @Juju2521 I am now considering it.

Update;

i got my 3rd prima facie which was issued in November and expired in January. This one is only good for 60 days and not the regular 180 days. It did say I will get an update from them by the end of this Prima Facie.

Could you share your timeline?

It may takes 2-4 months for VSC to make a final decision after RFEs. What is your RFE about?

@gramercy I reposted the original post above. It shows 1x FLL and 2x JFK. Very useful information indeed.

I know 5 people  who travelled  with AP and reentered  without any problem. One of the  girls told me  that  one immigration  officer (JFK)  said to her "we need more  people like you here", he made the complement  I guess because  she is working and she doesn't  have a foreign  accent. Ten  days  after she reentered from her trip  she got the GC without interview.

One guy from India  reentered after his trip(JFK) without any problem and the  immigration  officer  said "you suffered  abuse, how come man?". He didn't answer because  he believed  the officer was joking.  The officer  didn't  ask about the abuse but  for sure he knew the guy was a VAWA petitioner.
