You guys, I am devastated.

I called this morning the group that was helping me with my VAWA just to make sure they hadn't reveceived anything (They put their address and name down as my contact) and while talking she decided to check my file when I told her I didn't even get prima facie.

They had my Prima Facie, they got it a week after my receipt in December of last year!! It's expired now, I'm waiting for the director of the orginazation to call me. I AM FUMING, I AM SO UPSET, I HAVE SPENT AN ENTIRE YEAR STRUGGLING AND THEY HAD MY PRIMA FACIE THIS WHOLE TIME AND NEVER NOTIFIED ME even though it was their job, I paid for their services!

There has to be legal repercussions for the damage they have caused.

My attorney did the same thing but I never needed it anyways. I found out a few months after she received it. I am a December filer too. USCIS automatically renewed my Prima Facie in October.

So, is it required to carry Medical exam report ? To get a fresh exam done and take a copy?

Medical exam expires after one year. If you have not submitted your medical exam form or yours expires before the AOS interview day, you should bring a fresh one to interview. Otherwise, you could submit your medical exam form with RFE after interview, which may delay your GC for a few weeks.

My filing date is Nov. 8th, 2016.

The director felt awful, explained that it had been an oversight and a terrible mistake. They are sending a letter and expedited request to renew it but they said it was more likely that I would see it adjucated first.  I really needed my Prima Facie, but hey, hopefully I'm almost at the finish line. 😥

This same thing happened to me. I had to fire the attorney, do and monitor my stuff myself. No one knows what u are going through but u and no one really care so its better u take ur own matter into ur own hands

USCIS reports VAWA case status at:

https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/USCIS/Resources/Reports and Studies/Immigration Forms Data/Citizenship/I360_VAWA_performancedata_fy2017_qtr3.pdf

Oct. 2016 - Dec. 2016: 2306 Petition received; 536 Approved; 530 Denied; 7915 Pending

Jan. 2017 - Mar. 2017: 2542 Petition received; 1085 Approved; 415 Denied; 9371 Pending

Apr. 2017 - Jun. 2017: 2672 Petition received; 1254 Approved; 435 Denied; 10645 Pending

So, it is about 2500 cases per quarter for self-petitioning of abusive USC or LPR!

What do you meant by " license valid for 5 years with my country passport"?

If your Visa (F1. B1/B2, etc.) does not expire, you can go to Canada, Mexico and cruise then return to US. Otherwise, you need AP to reenter US. Just valid passport may not be enough.

Interestingly they seem to be approving more vawas for the first two quarters of 2017 when compared to the last quarter of 2016. Hope that trend continues, its mind boggling that as at April 2017 they have almost 10.7k cases pending. People like my self who filed in 2017 have a long way to go. :)

So what about petitions from July- September 2017? I always thought that petitions get adjudicated in the order they are received. But the data suggests some get adjudicated in just a few weeks, I'm I correct?
