She has been a lot quieter this afternoon, but she's always been this way: NOISY AS HELL in the morning! :crying: Other than that my job's fine; I don't have enough work to do but my involvement in projects is winding down because I'm leaving so that's sort of to be expected.

Anybody watch The Office, US version?

I was thinking of the Indian girl who talks no stop.

Usually when she asks me why Americans are so pushy/loud/wrongheaded/etcetcetc, I just give her a very blank stare and go back to work. I daren't ask why the British drink so much because I picked up the bad habit myself, so those who are in glass houses... :innocent:

Hehehe...I've managed to remain the teetotaler that I always was. :innocent:

The first time I went out to lunch with someone from work (this was waaaaaaay back in 2001), I was shocked when he ordered a beer with his lunch. I asked him if he was going to get in trouble for that when he got back to the office and he just stared at me like I was an idiot. Then when we got back to the office everyone had a good laugh at what I'd said. It was embarrassing. Every time I went out for lunch after that, people were like "Oooh, best not order a pint, might get in trouble!"

A lunch without beer is like a day without sunshine :P

I feel you. My office is dead quiet today, because everyone else is out at some fancy tour-bus promo thing our main manufacturer is putting on to try and steal our competitors' customers. Since I work in SMB there's no sense in me being there, so I have the whole sales office to roll around in. It's absolute bliss right now, but sadly they're all coming back this afternoon.

The guy in the cube behind me talks so loudly that you can't hear your own phone conversation if he's having one, and he, the sales engineer and the sales manager shout at each other across the room. Given that the SE and SM have their own offices which are diametrically opposite to Loud Guy's cube, it gets a little noisy at times!

Just keep counting down the days.....

Make sure you're wearing clean knickers. You never know when you'll be run over by a bus.

So a pirate with a parrot sticking out of the fly of his pants and is holding onto a steering wheel walks into a bar and orders a beer. The bartender asks "What's with the parrot sticking out of your pants holding onto that steering wheel?" The pirate says, "Argh, he's been driving me nuts all day"
