On the USCIS web site for CA service center it says : processing dates as of June 30,2017, for 129F it says February 1,2017.

For 129F with NOA1 it says here on visa journey processing dates as of April 21,2017 .

Which is more accurate ?

Does the date of June 30, 2017 on USCIS mean that they have not updated their information since June 30,2017 ?

Any insight would be of great help .

I received my NOA1 on May 12,2017.

Thanks !

Timeline

I called the USCIS today and was given the same information, they said they were processing Feb 1st applications.... But that's false because my friends fiancé is already here, she received her NOA2 March 6,2017, so I'm lead to believe that this website has a more accurate timeline

I can tell you that the USCIS is not accurate. We filed our NOA 1 in April (Notice date of 4/15/17) and we got our NOA 2, in the mail, with a Notice Date of 8/17/17 (almost 4 months to the day). The USCIS site hasn't updated our case yet. It still says "Case Received". Having said that, I know that a lot of folks on the April filers page haven't gotten anything yet. It's frustrating how things are going, for sure. Hang in there. It'll come.

USCIS does not update their website constantly. What we see on their processing times page is usually not the most current.

As for the case status page, their system has been buggy for months now and a lot of people are still stuck at 'case was received' even after getting NOA2. However, it's been reported that the case status page does update accordingly when a case gets RFE-ed.

When you refer to the VJ processing times, know that it only shows what's entered into the timelines here. And VJ applicants are just a small percentage of the USCIS application population. Therefore, truly, it is only accurate to a certain extent.

Presently, I-129F NOA2 is taking 4 months ish. Some VJ April filers are still waiting for their NOA2. VJ May filers have barely been issued NOA2. Due to that, looks like VJ May filers will only start receiving NOA2, denial or RFE in September, probably all the way up to October and of course some cases would be stuck beyond that.

To stop driving yourself crazy, check the May filers thread sporadically and don't compare your case to others. This process is very case by case basis. Otherwise you'd get upset, angry, depressed etc. Instead, focus on prepping documents that are needed at the K-1 interview stage and start familiarizing yourself with the AOS process. That would be time better spent :)

Just for the record, a US petitioner does not file a NOA1. Instead, they file a I-129F. NOA1 is issued by USCIS to acknowledge receipt of a I-129F petition that they received from a US petitioner. NOA2 is issued when a I-129F petition is approved.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.
