  To be fair, this specific article is not really an agree/disagree issue. Anyone who thinks Obama was president during Katrina is neglecting the facts. It is silliness. I don't see any post's in this thread extrapolating that fact to an entire demographic. Not without some degree of assumption on the readers part, as was the case in the post you responded to. In which event, it's no different than what we see posted day in and day out in this forum.

It's not just you. Not talking about any one specific person...I've seen it here(as well as really anywhere) many times from many people, usually the same people who claim you shouldn't generalize. Heh, I love me some good hypocrisy.

Time flies folks... there are some events I feel like they happened only a few years back, then turns out they happened more than 15 years ago. Two weeks ago I was reading news about the Kursk disaster's anniversary. I thought it was just like 7-8 years ago, then turns out it happened in 2000. getting old sucks

Some truly see someone having an opposite political opinion or supporting a different candidate as being "dumb" or "uneducated". For example, I've said many times even though I personally disagree with alot of what Bernie stands for, that I personally know some very intelligent Bernie supporters. However, you'd be hard pressed to ever find someone on the mdl pointing out something similar when it comes to anybody who isn't on the far left. To them everybody else is just stupid for disagreeing, which I just happen to find to be quite the laughable concept.

    I don't think some on the right are any different. In the last week I have seen posts saying the left has mental illness for not agreeing and one saying the MDL just got their new batch of crack. 

 

    Somehow these statements fall outside the TOS, or at least they don't seem to get removed. I think most people would avoid them, but we all tend to get sucked in after a while if it goes on.

I disagree. The only people I see calling other's intelligence into question are on the MDL. Anything anyone on the right says about mental illnesses is A. Directed only at the MDL, not the left as a whole and B. a direct result of said lunacy.

Personally I always try to make sure to write MDL(and yes, I know the origin - naitch) when I'm talking about the extreme left. I have no issues with the left as a whole. Sometimes I will write "some on the left". Rarely will I ever just say the left.
