My Fiance had a very positive interview and the counselor handed her passport back to her and said the file would need some final review but everything looked in order.....  he said it would take about 7 days to complete the paperwork.

7 working days later the embassy sent us an email saying "kindly send your passport to the Armenian Embassy"

i hope this means that we are approved and they want to put the stamp in the passport.... could it be anything else?

Unlikely, unless they have a really squeaky table and need something to align one of the legs correctly.

Fantastic!  Thank you!

Did your fiance need to send her passport back to the embassy after the interview?

How long did it take after the passport arrived at the embassy?

Thank you for your kind words!! and congratulations to you too!!

For an Iranian citizen, and with the travel ban in place, and with today's political climate... I say you guys just made a ***HUUUUUGE*** accomplishment. When you get your passport with a visa in hand, make sure you celebrate, cuz you guys definitely deserve it.

@Richard Moss

Well.. actually they approved my visa exactly on the day of interview and kept my passport there.

The officer told me it will be ready in 5 business days and I stayed for one more week in Yerevan to get my passport back.
exactly after 5 business days it got Issued and today i'm going to pick that up from the main DHL post office in Yerevan.

Don't worry.. so soon you'll get that good news!! :D
just be aware that after the embassy receives your fiancée's passport.. your case status on CEAC website will change a few times..
from 'Ready' to 'Application Received', then to 'AP' again.. and finally to 'Issued' !
Congrats again!!  and
Thank youuu!!! :dancing:

THANK YOU!!!

The officer told my fiancee that it would be 7 days... we had returned to our home countries 6 business days after the interview but we received an email on the 7th day.

Because I am self employed the stack of paperwork was excessive and I believe that was the delay.

Mahshid's passport is at the DHL office as of yesterday so I hope we start seeing changes in the status as you said :-)  without us there I wonder how long it takes to process the paperwork and return her visa and passport.

I am very excited for us to start our new life together in Las Vegas!!

congratulations on your approval!! I hope we are right behind you !!
