Hello community!

I apologize in advance if this question has been asked before. I am the father of a dual Filipino/US citizen. He is 15 years old and lives in the Philippines, and I live in the US. His mother has Filipino citizenship, and I have US citizenship. He will be coming to the USA for the first time this Christmas, and flying with Philippine Airlines. He has a valid US passport, and no Filipino passport. He will be traveling by himself, and I need to know whether he requires travel permission from me or his mother to be able to depart the Philippines as an unaccompanied minor?

Many thanks for the info!

I'm not sure how it is with that airline, their policy may be on their website, but when my daughter flew unaccompanied she had to be escorted to the gate (through security) by me (I was given a special pass)  I has to list the name of the person who was picking her up, her sad, who had to check in at the counter and be escorted by security to the gate to wait for her. She was not allowed to be left alone. Same thing on return flight. So allow plenty of time when picking him up to check in, go through security etc.
