K-1 Visa and Administrative Processing

My fiancé was asked to get another medical because the first one expired (six month expiration) via email on August 1, 2017. The email from the U.S. Consular stated "she needed a medical exam so that they can finalize the visa process". She got the medical on August 8th with a physician panel in Toronto, and received the results of the medical exam on August 16. The results was sent to the U.S. Consular in Montreal on the same day (August 16) and they received it on August 17th.  The case was updated on August 21, August 24, and August 30 (today). It is still in administrative processing (AP).  All the other documents have been received by the U.S. Consular in Montreal.  We had difficulty getting some documents beyond our control (i.e., Certificate of Good Conduct from Germany).  Is the repeated case updates a good sign? Does anybody have any similar experience and if so how long did it take to get the visa (and passport back)?

We had our interview on March 15, 2017.  We were given a 221(g) and we had to get a Certificate of Good Conduct from Germany.  The first one got lost in the mail and we had to request another Certificate of Good Conduct.  We did not receive the Certificate of Good Conduct from Germany until May 29, 2017.

Same thing happened with me. The interview went nice but at the end he asked for Police Certificate from UK since i lived there for 4 years. Anyways it took nearly a month to apply and receive it in mail from UK to India. Until then the status was AP........Once i sent and the consulate received my Police Certificate, the status changed from AP > Ready >AP > Issued...all in about 8 working days which also includes returning of passport :)
